Man ... I dont think I can help ... I have a lot of things to do but my advice to you is ...
DONT DO ANYTHING UNLESS U GET SOME UVMAPPERS AND SKINNERS ...
Ur Mod Will Die If It Doesnt Get Those even if u had tons of models ... I am telling u out of experience ...

You can make models and codes,for weapons etz, and by the way you can learn skinning.

and if he dont get any Skinners ... his mod will die after hard work ... so all his work go to waste

There is nothing "difficult" with UV mapping, it's just boring.
UV map looks strange for beginners but if you insist and will sit down and UV map a simple box you will understand what and how it's done, later on when you got the idea and basics turn to more complex shapes, like extruded box's or other faces.
Trust me the only method to learn is by expirience.

I have tried it before and i couldnt get to work. there are alot off tutorials out there but none have worked for me
