Here is the deal. My friend has cable but I currently have dial up. I have played with Hamachi before and has worked flawlessly with people thousands of miles away, till now. We both run the latest version of Hamachi, and have C&C 3 updated. Our IPs are also set to Hamachi's.

I have tried countless times to play with him, who lives no greater than five minutes away, yet when I try to join his game it says that I time out. When I host, he cannot even see the game I created, yet I can see and talk to him in the lobby. My firewall has created an exception for C&C 3 but I'm still skeptical about his.

I'm stumped as to what is the cause of this. If anyone can guide me through this, it would be greatly appreciated.

I sometimes have that too, reboot both computers and retry again. If it doesn't work then, then I'm out of ideas.
