I had that problem last month then decided FACK IT! So I did a backup of important stuff and then did a fresh install of Win7. Took about an hour but was totally worth it.

Might be true, but my OS is totally tweaked and have parts of Vista on it (e.g. Sidebar).

Setting it back up will take a while. D:

Lucky you, it took me 5 hours to update Vista to Win7 (8 if you count the backup and restore part)

But the Win7 installation can enable you to upgrade from the beta to the retail version without formatting or loosing your programs, can it ?
