FACT: I bought BF2142 today and it keeps on crashing to the desktop without giving me any feedback immediately after the splash screen, the help files and EA Support didn't help, I've uninstalled it and I'm reinstalling it as we speak (as I type) >_< also, I'm dowloading the 1.25 update, which should take a total of about 2 hours and now has 40 minutes remaining.

FACT: I'm going to sleep soon, and I'll install the patch and try again tomorrow.

edit: FACT: clean reinstall didn't work, patching tomorrow. fuck.

Fact: Strategia should delete the BF2142 registry then the profile folder then make sure there is no trace of it on the pc.

then restart the pc,

install 2142,

restart the pc,

install the patch

restart the pc.

play.

If that doesn't work you prob have a incompatible graphics card or it is most likely a hardware issue.

FACT: Alias told me my graphics card does not support pixel shaders.
FACT: EA blows for putting pixel shaders in every fucking game. (and because of a whole lot of other reasons too.)
