I made this picture with photoshop and no modelling programs involved..
I'm trying to make someone look like looking through a binocular to spot an enemy submarine through an old binocular and taken with a black and white camera..
what do you guys think?

I think that is pretty good. I think a cool effect would be not having black around the edges, but un-magnified ocean.

If you drew that submarine aswell, you have 10++/10.
If you didn't, that is still 10/10.
Awesome work there mate.

Not bad for an experiment at all. You and your friend do good work. Personally, I like photos and visuals like what you posted.

The Submarine is not photographed... it's made from gradients and shadows
If you want, i can also provide the .PSD files of the submarine as well
