I actually got he best results using Ganondorf. Smash + Up will blast the sandbag sky-high with heavy damage and as soon as it comes back down, you can inflict even more with a Jump/A+Down move. Do that twice (second Smash + Up NOT fully charged) use the bat and send the bugger flying.

I don't think Falcon or Ganondorf, are comming back. Yoshi was good because you could do that rapid downward kick move a few times then send that bag soaring! All the best scores were by me and my little green lizard.

captian falcon is absolutely coming back I mean why have a assist trophy from his game but not have the main charactor supporting that franchise and ganondorf too but probably a completely different move set

Did they even drop any characters from the original game when Melee came out? I think it's becoming more and more and I strongly doubt that the vanilla characters from SSB64 will EVER be scrapped. Of course there has to be Captain Falcon. Ganondorf, whilst not a starting character, is a must too, Link needs an antagonist and the fact that he wielded that enormous sword in TP cries for a new, unique moveset. Heck, his Ultra Smash might even turn him into Ganon.

I think most melee charachters will return, the only ones I can't see returning are clones like Falco, Dr. Mario, etc... which are just slightly different from others. Ganondorf, I'm very sure he's coming back. I'm hoping for twin swords like in Wind Waker, or Ganon in OoT had. Captain falcon, I'm pretty sure he's coming back too, I see no reason why not.
Ah yes and I think either Marth or Roy won't return or maybe even both, after all they're very similar and there's Ike which seems a lot like them too.

Sorry mate, that's not a character, it's actually an Assist Trophy. ATs are basically like Pokeballs with the difference that characters from other games than Pokemon will appear. This guy is one of them. You don't play as whatever is in that AT, instead, an NPC appears for a short timespan and does something. No need to worry

They aren't leaving the oldies behind. Some of them got their movesets changed/improved and as far as I know, the only one of the better oldies they scrapped is Roy. I'm pretty sure Dr.Mario and Pichu will disappear too but they were cheap clones anyways, so as long as they treat the good oldies well - which they seem to do - they may add as many newcomers as they want.
