It also supports several types of softsub, good for any anime-torrenting needs.

Might not be as feature rich as the professional ones but it does it job well. This audio editor has everything that a casual DJ should need. Try out the latest beta because its way better then then last stable version
The computers at my school have that and I just d/l'ed it, should help with my Voice acting .

For those interested how I tested:
Using GoldWave, I opened an uncompressed direct-from-CD WAV file of a song, and compressed it with LAME mp3 at 64 kb/s and 128 kb/s, and Vorbis at q0 and q4. These are roughly the same bitrates, but Vorbis is inherently a variable data rate codec so it doesn't exactly match up.
Next, I took the compressed sounds and subtracted the original sound from it through GoldWave. Doing this with mp3 was a slight problem because LAME added 250 ms of silence before the track. So I needed to remove this from the mp3 file beforehand.
The resulting sound is the difference between the original and the compressed version. The difference sound consists entirely of what the codec has added to the sound, and should therefore be as silent or inaudible as possible. Ideally, original and compressed versions are identical, which would mean the difference would be zero.
Now, listen to the different difference sounds and compare them. Mp3 has a very weird warbling sound that is quite noticeable at 128 kb/s, but is even more prominent at 64 kb/s. Vorbis on the other hand not only has a softer difference sound (=better reproduction!), but also has no warbling sound. Rather the difference sounds like a sort of mechanical hissing, which is far less noticeable in a recording. I would safely say that Vorbis at q0 sounded pretty close to mp3 at 128 kb/s - that's half the bitrate!

Won't be of any use because your phones output through the speakers or the headphones won't be good enough to notice the difference. Also for Archiving purpose flac is a better option. But if you just want a normal universal support and are not an Audiophile then an MP3 is fine too.
Educational Note: .ogg is a container format and is not the same as mp3. Its Vorbis that is the actual muscle behind the music compression. .ogg can also be a video file and not necessarily a audio file.

Imagenomic Noiseware Community Edition
If your life depends on a sub-par digital camera (or phone camera) that produces noise-infected images (especially night shots) then this software is the one you want to swear by. The Community Edition reduces noise effectively enough for the most avid photobugs, but in case you still thirst for more power, the Pro Edition is there to quench it. Waris gives 4.5 out of 5 W's.

Using all my status for this I require that you put DisplayFusion on that list, under dualmoniter support. By FAR, the best desktop rotater, as it allows two SEPARATE images for your desktop, and ask ANYONE with dual screens, its a bitch to do. It's unbelievable.
Please add it? It's great. It also has very good support, the developer actively changes the program, although he has slowed down after he released version two, but I am supporting his efforts, doing major troubleshooting for him in the forums.
Linky!
And the pro version is well worth it.... IIRC you need it to get the desktop rotater.. But have two different images? Priceless. And that part is free >.<
Yay first comment! Thank you Comr4de!
If I were an alien from a distant world, unhampered by the endless void of space for whatever reason, I would stay the hell away from these primitive, monkey-like creatures from Earth who are too busy slaughtering each other over subjects such as religion or ethnicity, who pollute their one and only planet and who praise mindless pop-culture personalities more than scientists and philosophers.

I think someone asked for vista recommendations My system recommendations for vista are as follows:
2gb of ram ddr2 800 dual channel for lower end video games like zero hour dawn of war etc however for games crysis or company of heroes i recommend 3gbs or more vista is somewhat a memory hog especially if you play games with lots of ai opponents or lots of online human opponents it will lag. 3gb memory is my recommendation for present gamers.
You need a multi core processor or a powerful single core to run vista at its best preferably the athlon 64 x2 4600 or higher or the e2160 or higher dont get me wrong a strong single core processor will run it good like the Pentium 4 ee precotts . I have an e2160 overclocked to 2.6ghz on stock fan.
I also have a 9600gt which is just a few fps below the 8800gt however you can run vista on integrated gma 950 never tested it on other chipsets you don't need some high end or even mainstream videocard to run vista. All this runs on a ga p35 ds3l mobo with 480 watt power supply and an atrix case. It was a 420 dollar build off newegg the sites i recommend for building a computer are tigerdirect or newegg. Newegg hase better customer support in my opinion and better return policys
Anyways i dont recommend getting vista wait until windows 7 comes out in 2009 or 2010 directx 10 isn't all that and its a resource hog at that. Plus vista has alot of bugs and compatibility issues i have windows xp and vista on dual boot and mostly use xp.
My software recommendations keep in mind you'll need utorrents or limewire to download these any p2p will work and this sofware works on xp and vista
Avast antivirus i think its one of the best antiviruses out there http://www.mininova....h/?search=avast I recommend downloading this one it worked for me and has easy instructions http://www.mininova.org/tor/1353829
Thats all i can recommend for the general user there is alot of software downloads on mininova look it up on their site if you have any questions on software\hardware dont hesitate to ask i don't recommend vista stick to xp people and hope Microsoft doesn't mess up on windows 7. Prophet has most the software I would recommend listed already he has a good compiled list.
Heres some good software for overclockers
Orthos-it stress test you pc to see if you have stable overclock
Vista boot pro-not really for overclockers but still is free and helpful use only if you have vista and want a dual boot configuration
Cpu-z looks up advanced system specs like whether your memory is running in dual channel or not
Speedfan- lets you view temperatures of video card processor mobo etc also can control speed of fans obviously
Rivatuner- program that lets you overclock video card
Theres alot more programs that i cant remember Google it. Forums i recommend for technical help in pcs are Tomshardware overclockers.net and x bit labs to view benchmarks there are alot more helpful sites but this is just off the top of my head. Any questions please ask or programs you would like me to recommend like burning software download mangers etc please ask.
