Hello, E-Studios people. In has come to my attention that I have the need to build a flamethrower for 'educational purposes'. However, it seems that I do not have the funds to build one and this thing doesn't seem to allow me to get a loan from the bank. In all seriousness, I come to you, fellow members of this forum to spare a few e-dollars on your Paypal account or send a few dollars or a cheque via mail to me so that I can build a flamethrower. All results, including material costs, resulting results and the entirety of the final product will be co-owned by all sponsors.
I mean, who else can claim that they sponsored somebody to build a flamethrower, with a video to boot!

Material Cost (all prices are seen as HKD translated to USD):

One container of fuel - Estimated cost of 150HKD = 20USD
One air pressurized water gun w/ backpack - Estimated cost of 190HKD = 24USD
Safety precautions (flame shield, protective clothing, fire extinguisher) - Estimated cost of 100HKD = 13 USD
Transportation and assembly cost - Estimated at 20HKD = 2.5USD

No, I am not joking, this is serious.

Regards,
PLA (Aqua)

P.S: If anyone wants to do a fuel comparison and deciding of what type of liquid fuel I should/should not get. That's also nice.

Sorry, but I also wont sent my Money over the Internet to somebody else.
First of all its too risky and dangerous those days and second, I would suggest that you give a bit more details about why you need Money, otherwise your chances will stay low.

No offence, but you're probably really bad at estimating the cost, or that sh*t is just really cheap were you come from (the safety precautions in particular).

I know that you need Money to build a Flamethrower, but what for? You never realy gave any Information on that part ( except 'educational purposes' ).

Personally I dont care, but like I said before, it would raise your chances if you would go a bit more into detail.

You wish, with a tax rate around at 13% or so, what more do you expect? If the gov here was charging a 50%, then we would be talking. Besides, I doubt that my report on how a insurgency armed with a ad-hoc water gun turned flamethrower is extremely dangerous is going to be getting any grants. But otherwise, knowing that you can assemble a flamethrower in case China goes Communist Purge on Hong Kong is a very good thing.

You learn:
1) How to assemble a flamethrower
2) Different properties of fuel and how they affect your flamethrower
3) Fire Safety
4) Basic infantry combating with the use of incendiary devices (a.k.a Preparations of insurgency starting and training)
5) How to operate a flamethrower
6) It's a good home improvement project
7) It fills up my IB hours
8) It's a good project during the summer.
9) It gets me a new watergun afterwards
10) It would be something I could write my 4000 word essay for my IB course on
11) It's something that sounds fun
12) Who doesn't want a flamethrower in their house?

All a flamethrower requires:

Some matches
A super soaker or other high velocity water gun
Gasoline or other flammable fluid

There you go :P

Although you may be sincerely just trying to build a flamethrower, I just refuse to send money. I don't really trust many people over the internet.
