Fellow Gamers,

I got another juicy game to discuss. This time I'm talking about Forza Motorsport 2. Lets get started shall we?

The Game

Forza Motorsport 2, or Forza 2, is a racing game developed by Turn 10 Studios, and the sequel to the original Forza Motorsport, for the Xbox 360 gaming system. The Japanese version was released on May 24, 2007,and the North American and Brazilian versions were released on May 30, 2007. The game was released in Europe on June 8, 2007, followed by Australia on June 14, 2007.

Graphics

Oh jeez. Don't get me started on the graphical part of this game. Its just magnificent. The level of detail can blow one away. Its all well thought trough. Things like dirt showing up on the side of you're vehicle after prolonged cruising the circuits. The paint jobs reflect there surroundings very well. It gives the game a photo-realistic atmosphere. Bumper kit, spoilers, mufflers all very nicely modeled. So are the cars them selfs. Dust and steam also look very nice when you drift around corners.

Gameplay

What can i say. Its a racing simulator. It does its job very well. Cars handle like they suppose to be, and they look like they suppose to be. More the 300 cars are present in Forza 2. Cars like Ferrari F50 and the Pagani Zonda. But also cars we see every day are there like the Buick GNX and the Honda Intergra. Just like Forza Motorsport there will be the ability to tune you're vehicle. The designers have gone much more in dept with this part on Forza 2. Adding parts actually has consequences for you're cars performance. For example, if you add a bumper you're cars handling and braking will improve. But the extra wait cuts down on you're topspeed and acceleration. Online play is also much fun. With things like the auction house, where people can buy and sell there cars. And monthly tournaments. You name.. its all in there.

My experience

Well the game is very user friendly. Beginners can jump right in the action without much consequences because of the improved difficulty system. If the game is to hard for you, you can activate certain support systems. These system do help allot, but they also cut down you're price money. If you turn them all off you will get a astonishing 50% extra on you're total winnings. So the game is also very rewarding. Almost every car you can think of is in there. Which is very good. Although i would love to see the Buggati Veyron in the next version :P

You are also aware that you can do custom paint jobs on your cars...

Bungie.net had a Forza 2 contest on who can make the best and coolest Halo-themed car. Check out the winners here. It doesn't have to be Halo-themed, but it is just an example of the paint editor that is in that game for the cars. Pretty amazing for being on a console.

I had no idea our stuff was localized before Europe. It explains when I talk to my european console gamer friends they always get stuff 1 month or 2 after I did.

I have to disagree with you, Chrizz. I played it on the 360 and I think the graphics displayed in the pictures are very much like the ingame graphics.

The cars look and handle quite realisticly.

This game definately gets a thumbs up from me.
