Apparently in the XML files they gave out, the Crane still keeps the defenses, unless I have missed what was changed. But I am about to change the GDI's power turbine to be allowed when the power plant is built, like in TS. Nod's will still need tech building, since their's gives them more power than the GDI turbine.

I expect to see great things from CnC3 modding. Just a word of advice. wait till the expansion pack is out before setting the details of your mod in stone. use this time to actually learn the game engine rather then modding it.
