A scenario which is in dire need of some representation is WW1 actually.

Vietnam and Korea aswell.

The Korean conflict is literally the Forgotten War and I don't believe there has been a game set in this theatre yet.

'Nam doesn't need one. A few years ago there was a boom of Vietnam shooters. Shellshock, Battlefield Vietnam, Conflict Vietnam, and there's a few others on the list as well. What could be really good for a game would be 18th century warfare, but not as a shooter (come on, 46 second reload time)

Oh yes, especially a 'Nam Call of Duty would be neat. I do recall a single game about Korea and surprisingly, it was called Forgotten Conflict.
Never tried/heard more of it though...

@TehKiller
As much as the scenarios you enumerate would be interesting, the problem is we'll never see any of those in a game.
Apparently, a war is only a war if the US are involved. I don't remember any war-related FPS that didn't have the US in it.

It's economics. It would be stupid to make a game without the US because then a lot of US citizens, who make up an XBOX HUEG portion of the gaming market, wouldn't buy it.
I wouldn't mind playing a non-US-combat game but eh.

Thats the ussual issue somewhere know as "The CoD problem" (named cuz that prob was in all of the CoD series).....as much as the gameplay is cool and the SP missions look great they are simply short (and its not only in CoD4 but in all of the CoD's)....However theres still a feeling or a need to replay it at a higher difficulity and the highest diff levels are best for training and see how quick can you finish the game (on the first CoD i managed to finish it on Veteran difficulity in a matter of 5 hours.....helluva lot harder since u dont got rechargable health and u cant pick up hp-packs due to the diff settings)

The original CoD was long enough, imo. The rest were a bit too short (for example: the first console CoD, Finest Hour, had a 4 mission British campaign, and 2 of the levels were a continuation of the other 2)

Hardened.

For those of you who have the arcade mode, what's your best score on Mile High Club? That level really asks for a contest.

You do remember that you get flashbangs, right? That might help a little (and don't forget that you have to kill every single enemy to keep going, even if it's risky).

oh trust me i use flashbangs, you cant even come close to the FIRST room if you dont...

i usually try to flashbang, run in headshotting all the soldiers, pick up the first P90 i see, and fall back unloading into the crowd. Doing that strategy i can get to the hallway on the top floor before someone shotguns me.

You haven't lived till you've played Call of Duty 4 - and that is saying something.

Heck, even Fidel Castro and Vladimir Putin have been playing it.

Has anyone beaten the counter claymore and counter C4 challenges yet? Any of you at all?

I got the counter claymore challenge by throwing a grenade in a room where I saw the enemy, but the kill came up as my name, claymore sign and his name and I got the challenge completed. No one seems to use C4 in the matches I've played in, but in some the C4 thrown is often far from the enemy

Tried CoD4 at a lan, wasn't overly impressed... While having a billion options was rather cool, it doesn't seem fair giving helicopters and air strikes to the player who is already most likely dominating the game... Not to mention dolphin diving, bunny hopping, etc.

Mini uzi with double tap is cool though xD
