Basically just post what you think is the video game with the best music is. I'm not talking about the most recognizable, and I'm not talking about 8-bit stuff. I'm talking about the most original, memorable, high-quality music. I'm also talking about the entire track in general, not just one or two songs.

Oh yeah, feel free to post a link to a place you can get it.

I'll start with my favs at the moment:

Unreal Tournement 2004*

Metal of Honor

Emporer: Battle for Dune*

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Smash Brothers: Melee*

Halo 2 & 3

Starcraft*

(The ones with "*" next to them you can get on the site in my sig)

Mine are:

Rogue Trip Vacation 2012
Twisted Metal
Critical Depth
Emperor: Battle for Dune
Contra: Shattered Soldier
Ace Combat
WDL Thunder Tanks

Most of them are very rare / not downloadable.
I'd need to upload them but that would take a bit.

Off the top of my head, I'd say Earth 2150/The Moon Project. It just sits there in the background, ambient, until battle starts. Then, the music becomes faster and louder. There are few things that beat the battle chatter of the ED to the background of the appropriate combat music :P

I loved the music during the finale where you enter the area around the Reichstag and like every window is covered by a 42. You wait for the tanks to blast your way and as as soon as you're good to go, the final onslaught begins. Really epic and as you run and gun your way through the buidling trying to get on the roof, it kind of feels like Star Wars Episode 6 where they blew the Deathstar and escape through the core structure. It really has that "This war ends NOW"-kind of feeling to it.

Any Metroid Prime game
Any "real" 3D Zelda (OoT/MM/TP)
ZH (yes it actually has some tracks I love even after ages, such as that rare USA metal track)
Advent Rising
Star Wars: Force Commander (What beats a remixed Imperial March? :P)
Any Frank Klepaci soundtrack (though I barely played older CnC I have some tracks and like like all of them, I do aswell have the UaW demo and I love the soundtrack)
Crysis (Terminal (the second track) FTW!)
Mech Warrior 4
EVE Online (some very good metal tracks IMO)
CnC3 (All I'll say is Explore_Red_01)
Beyond: Good & Evil (Very unknown game but has some pretty good soundtrack IMO)
Any Dawn of War music
Paraworld - very epic

Remixes:
Metroid Metal = Godlike

And a lot of stuff I forgot.

Ah, a topic after my own heart. I've ripped god knows how many game soundtracks (amounting to almost 2,5 GB), and I still listen to them all. Here are some of my favourites:

-Command and Conquer:
----Zero Hour (all but the american music)
----Tiberian Sun (mostly valves1b, nodcrush and pharotek)
----Red Alert 2
----Red Alert 1 - because Hell March rocks
-Diablo 2 - quite beautiful
-Dungeon Keeper 1 - played at loud volume, this rocks the world
-Lost Eden - the only reason the game is worth playing, the music is stunning
-Grand Theft Auto 2 (and only 2) - there are some really nice underdog tracks in there, and of course there's lots-of-fun comments
-Some Halo 1 tracks
-Hitman SA, Contracts and Blood Money (best tracks Hunter, Apocalypse, and the Contracts menu theme, though there are so many good ones)
-Heroes of Might and Magic 3 - quite harmonious
-A few Jazz Jackrabbit songs are really worth listening to from time to time
-Lords of Magic - great music to have playing when you're studying
-Some music from the Oddworld series, for the same reason
-Quake 1 music and quake 3 intro theme - I'm playing it right now as a matter of fact
-Stronghold 1 - for when I'm angry
-Unreal, UT and UT2004 (though remixes of older songs in UT2004 suck arse)
