ok, before I start explaining everything about this mod, I'm going to say these few things

1. the world the mod is set in, is FICTIONAL, like Ace Combat 5, zero, and 6, the terrain will be changed.

2. while all of the countries have real world counter parts, and use real world weapons, with some fictional, the list I have for some factions is FINAL, units in the mod have been chosen for a reason, either because they good for the purpose, or they fit the Factions personality, and fighting methods.

3. There will be no bickoring, or argueing about unit vs unit, I don't want to see people get vacations, lets play nice and hope this mod is a success :)

ok, enough playing UN, on to the real meat.

From January 17th 1982, to December 18th 1987, a war, the likes of which has never been seen before it. World War 2 brought devistation all over the world, hundreads of millions were either killed, injured, or left homeless. The world also saw the first use of an ICBM when on Friday, September 13th 1987 the Shenyian Empire launched several ICBMs towards the Angarian Republic. Undaunted by the hit, the Allies press on, and within weeks, took the Shenyians capital city, and ended the war. Now, 30 years later the Shenyians are ready to for a new war, one which they hope will be the war to end all wars, a war which they will extract their final revenge, and dominate the world. Get ready commander, the Dark Fire, is only moments away from being ignited....

Independent States of Auroria
Comprised of 20 free electing states, the Independent States of Auroria have prospered for the last 212 years. While small in comparison to its Allies to the west and north, the ISA has made it its number one goal to be the most technologically advanced military in the world. Using the latest advances in weapons and vehicles, the ISA is fast, mobile, and very versatile. Her military is comprised entirely of volunteers, and is the proudest of all the Militaries. The ISA has the most highly trained Airforce, and its pilots are given the best in the business. Aside from all this, ISA units cost more than any of the other factions, but the cost is ultimately well worth it in the end.

Southern Coalition of Allied Forces
SoCAF is an Alliance of 6 different countries on the Aurorian Continent. While not as reliant on technology as the ISA, SoCAF forces are slightly cheaper to build, and maintain, however, the constant squabbling within SoCAF make it hard to for the 6 countries to get on the same page. As a result, rather than establishing a standard, the 6 countries build their own weapons and ammo, with some of them making conversion kits. Also as a direct result of the command problems, SoCAF almost never see’s a total deployment like the ISA or Angarians.

Shenyian Empire
Hell bent on revenge for its defeat 30yrs ago, the Shenyian Empire is still reeling from its loss of World War II. Many of her cities are still scarred by the last war, and many experts are convinced that they may never be rebuilt. During the last war the Shenyians deployed their first 2 Vengeance Weapons, while the ACA suffered little as a result of the war; the Shenyians have almost run bankrupt as a result. As a result, the Shenyian Empire is comprised of a mostly conscripted army, and many are given little training before being sent to a unit. Aside from all this, the Shenyian Empire has many high-tech weapons at their disposal. However they are too few, and too expensive to be fully considered. Normally, the Shenyians rely on tried and trusted weapons and technology to win their battles.

Angarian Republic
The Angarian Republic is one of the most well trained militaries on the Aurorian Continent. They pride themselves in their mobility, and their training. While not as focused on technology as their neighbors to the south (the ISA), they can still match the ISA in combat. Luckily for both factions, they are allies, and the arms race is done to keep both countries ready for combat with the Shenyian Empire. The two countries for this reason often hold mock battles as a way to keep their command skills sharp. The Angarian Republics people have a strong resentment towards the Shenyian Empire, since it was the Shenyians that brought WW2 to the Angarian Republic. Many of the Angarian Republics cities are still recovering from the nightly raids, with three of their largest cities (in 1982) being destroyed by the Shenyian Vengeance Weapons. As far as technology is concerned, the Angarians choose not to rely on the same computer systems that many ISA units are equipped with, however they do have blue tracking technology in place to keep track of their own troops.

WW3 is recuirting, so if you want in, drop me a PM, IM (when I'm on), or shoot me an E-Mail. Also, if someone can point me to an alternate earth terrain set up (like how Ace Combat 4-6 is set up), that would be really helpfull.

Now for the ISAs hero unit... Delta Force Capt. Mark 'Mac' Harding
Posted Image

Quote

Name: Capt. Harding’s squad
Count: 1 + 8
Type: Infantry, Hero
Weapons: M4A1with M203, MK23 (Harding), 8 F2000 (squad)
Abilities: C4 (Satchel Charge), Clear Building, Silent Kill (see description), Stealth, Ambush, IR Goggles
Description: Capt. Harding never goes into the fight alone, so he personally selected 8 of the best enlisted Deltas to join him. Capt. Harding is the best Delta Force member to come through the ranks, feared by his enemies, and praised by his allies. Capt. Harding specializes in the “Silent Kill”, where he will sneak up to an enemy squad, and silently kill off each member with his Silenced MK23. The only downfall to this ability is that it requires the squad to move close to the enemy, exposing them to active detectors. Other then presence of Capt. Harding, his squad is not much more than two standard Delta teams, (both in numbers and price).Note: The entire squad of deltas must be killed before Harding can be targeted himself. Warning: Capt Harding is the main hero unit in the campaign, if he falls in any battle, the mission will automatically end in failure.

As yall can tell, I even skinned him as for what I used... well, all I did was use some of my old uniforms from my time in the army.

Edit: if anyone wants to take a whack at giving him a set of bones (as well as skins for his weapons), here's capt. harding himself. Keep in mind however I plan to use a stock of animations that almost every infantry unit can use, so keep that in mind. Anyone who takes this challenge let me know that you're giving it a shot :P.

PS: Special thanks goes out to Rot Front for base part of this model.

This looks good. I plan to get CnC 3 soon as I finally found a way to get it to run on my macbook (Ubuntu FTW, when it's working). So if theres anything I can do, I'd love to help. I'm decent with GIMP, so I can do logos and Cameo's and stuff, and when I get Ubuntu working, I'll learn to use GMax.
IF theres anything I could do, drop me a PM

I have no idea what you just said. But nice nick, Master Chief- where's the Spartan Avie?
~SLG

EDIT: @ the new hero- how the hell can you silence a MK. 23. That thing is like a rifle, just with a smaller barrel. The only thing you can add to it is a flash suppressor, which I've got on my airsoft one, but its not gonna get particularly quiet, no matter what you do

Actually I've had this account for quite a while... long enough ago it seems that my past 2 posts that are accounted for in my profile aren't even on the forum anymore to be found. So this isn't the first nickname I'd choose if I made the account today.

And just think about what I said for a second... you should be able to figure out my part in this :P.

EDIT: How do you silence a Mk. 23? You screw a silencer on... just because it is loud and powerful doesn't mean it can't be silenced. There are AK-47 silencers that work quite effectively, as well as silencers for many other assault rifles. AK-47's just happen to be pretty loud and high impact.

similar enough that if you know either one decently enough, you can figure it out the other fairly quickly. Heck, I managed to figure out 3DS just from my experience with GMax (the two are made by the same company, so yes, their interfaces are very similar).

2 tank50us
Models are quite good, but i think they have a bit too high polycount. Most of these things (windows, hatches, missiles warheads on M270 etc) must be painted on texture. And, C&C3 supports normal map shader, so they can look similar, but run much faster.

And, as i said you on MSN yesterday i can help with skinning some units (i just want more practice before making my own mod).

I hope quality like this will be enough for you?

Poly count too high? You know that you can go to 5000 or so, with no lag at all?
