The 11th Hour 10/10

An eye-opening documentary about global warming. This and An Inconvenient Truth should be shown in schools.

Six degrees could change the world - NGC

9/10

A practical documentary showing us the facts, while never getting depressed or overly negative. Also good lesson material ^^

^ Great watch (for both of the above). For me = Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - is it just me or is it all just slightly overacted? But a great movie nonetheless, so 8/10

Loaded Weapon: 10/10

Truly one of the cooles movies i ever saw....its like a Lethal Weapon 2 parody with a bunch of spoofs on other movies/shows.

also i had a picking....it was either Loaded Weapon or Indiana Jones (Temple of Doom ironically)

Indiana Jones & Temple of Doom

Overacted and poorly done 6/10 redeemed by value of the series and the tune which is stuck in my head for eternity.

What a coincidence, that movie was on the telly here yesterday. I agree with your rating. Compared to the other films, it's more on the crappy side.

Other films I've seen lately:

Taxi 2: 8/10 a simple action-comedy-movie made in France but that's quite refreshing and
offers some decent entertainment when you can't be arsed to use your brain at the moment.

SAW 2: 7/10 not even half as interesting as the first one. Way too many people with shallow characterisation.
It pretty much degenerates to the generic "people trapped in a house of doom"-bollocks that blights many horror-movies.

True Lies: 10/10, another favourite of mine. Lots of action and quite humorous, pretty much a well made parody of typical action-movies.
It's a shame that today's Hollywood can't come up with this kind of stuff anymore.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the lost Ark: 10/10, one of my all time favourites.
6/10 for the censored afternoon version though. I want my melting Nazis back, dammit!

Nightmare on Elm Street 1 and 2: 5/10, so bad, it's good again.
The only thing that makes these films worth existing is the sheer awesomeness of Mr. Freddy Krueger.

If my memory serves me right, this involved the search for a Russian sub, right?

The search for the sub is a red herring. Rather, the movie revolves on the "issues" between Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington.

And BTW, Enemy at the Gates by Jude Law.

Rating 10/10

The sick part was the Russian kid was hanged by the Nazi sniper...

If you're talking bout searching for a Russian sub, thats The Hunt for Red October with Sean Connery.

Well yes, the film does involve them being attacked by a Russian Kilo-class sub but that's not what the entire film is based upon. However, the actions of the Kilo class sub is the catalyst of the conflict between Hackman and Washington.

Loose Change: An interesting theoretical look at what went on with the twin towers. A great film, but maybe a bit heavy on the theorising. 7.5/10

A great film, marred somewhat by a poor romantic subplot and a strong deviation from the book.

Two of my mates and I have been spending the entire friday watching Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.
Boy, was it a great celebration of manly fantasy violence...

Terminator - 10/10
Predator - 10/10
Conan the Barbarian - 8/10
Commando - 8/10 - bonus points for being one of my favourite trash-movies
Total Recall - 10/10
Conan the Destroyer - no rating, had to leave after about 20 minutes

Went and saw it at the movies the other day. I think most people will be pleased about how they went about getting around the 19 year old gap.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Massively underwhelming, a terrible ending and a poor excuse for an Indiana Jones film, was good for the first 3/4, nothing spectacular just ok. The end was atrocious. 5/10

The Castle of Cagliostro (Anime)

Fun to watch, worth 100 minutes of your time, IIRC part of a collection of films, a little sparse on it's own if this is the case.

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets 6.5/10

Good rollicking fun for two hours. I'm a history buff and it really satisfied my history junkie craving.
However, the historical ideas behind Book of Secrets were WAAAAAAAAY farfetched and the fact that Cage can do instant analysis on the spot and end up right is beyond me...
