The Kingdom: 8/10, saw it with my new girlfriend. A tad preachy and slow at the beggining with some historical facts kinda muddled. (You can't fool me I'm a History Specialization student!). It gets really good afterwards with some really funny moments.

Resident Evil 3...
Holy crap, what an awesome movie it was.
But I hate cliffhangers, so I'll give it a 9/10.
Still good though :P

Elizabeth : The Golden Age

8/10 Always worth watching a well done historical film, even if it will be sensationalised, hopefully some people will study a bit more history because of it.

Into the Wild:
7/10

Yeah, it's true to the book mostly (different order of events though), but i don't like these types of movies in general.

Lord of War

6.5/10

One comment: Horribly, horribly predictable if you know about common world/movie stereotypes or the Cold War. I really didn't see anything unique or shocking or surprising.

Oh, and it's definitely not an action movie.

The Great Escape.
10/10.

Real classic. Even these days I find it very entertaining. +1 for Steve McQueen - all in all, this is a must-watch.

(Oh, and how can you forget the soundtrack)

Island 7/10.
Holy crap that movie was awesome...
But it went downhill in the end...
About an facility which keeps people alive after some global disaster, and every often someone gets send to this island, where everything is awesome.
But the thing is, its a lie.
The concept itself was very nice for a scifi movie, but it kinda gets stupid at the end...
An awesome movie tho.
Worth watching.

The Butterfly Effect 7/10

Sometimes it's quite disturbing, and it wasn't what I had expected of it. The acting wasn't all that good tho.

Memento: 8/10

Filmed backwards in short portions. The story is short yet very complicated but well-thought of. Well-acted and lots of interesting techniques were used in filming this, including partial black-and white, thought narration and visualised mental lapses. It's the kind of movie you need to watch twice before you understand it fully, though.

Stephen King's The Mist. 7/10

The bulk of the movie was alright but the storyline sucked...then the ending sucked even more. If you like the chaotic sort of films, then I would suggest watching this movie up until the end.

Equilibrium 10/10

Awsome film, it`s like a scary glimps into the future. If you like the Matrix then you will love this film, the action sequences are just great.

Beowulf in IMAX 3D 8/10 highly recomended

Pros: Really cool with the 3D Effects
-Loads of action a good movie if you just want to be entertained
-Lot's of Angelina Jolie
-Grendel is scary

-Cons:
-Did not follow the poem in many occasions (or at least the version I read)
-Anthony Hopkins is really fat now and it's disgusting to see his partly covered body
-A WTF? Ending
-Grendel is retarded
-Not enough Angelina Jolie

Highly recommended for those of you with IMAX movie theaters in your immediate area.

I know this isn't exactly a movie... but it's long enough to be considered one.

An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder 9.7/10

For those of who don't know Kevin Smith, he plays Silent Bob in the films with Jay and Silent Bob. He also wrote both Clerks movies.

Beowulf 7/10 Not a bad attempt at the old story, not enough atmosphere for me though.

Equilibrium 10/10

I liked this movie, but found myself disliking Bale though. Took me a while to actually warm to him after this film. No idea why.

I guess it's because of his role. He plays that cleric and in a dystopian society where emotions are illegal, it's his job to make sure that people respect that rule, so he has to be even colder than cold, blander than bland. I actually felt the same kind of dislike when I first saw the film but in conclusion, it did make a bit of sense since he wasn't really supposed to be likable, especially in the first bit. It's a good film though, I liked it better than the later Matrix-parts.

They were sublime. I liked the fancy way they used their guns as melee-weapons and the whole choreography.
Matrix 2 and 3 were basically the generic kung-fu-malarkey in slow-motion.

Hitman movie 6/10

It's a decent action flick so I was happy with that part. A must-see if you haven't seen it but wait for a dvd release later on if you want to see it again.
It's funny at times. Particularly
Spoiler

Some parts don't make sense. E.g.
Spoiler

Plus, the actor isn't exactly like Hitman. He doesn't look like him but, aside from that, he does things that are out of character with 47. He shows anger and frustration. 47 isn't able to show any emotion at all. He's cold.

I also doubt 47 would let himself get on a personal level with anyone. Law enforcement, civilians or his targets.

Overall, fans of the series should see it and non-fans will enjoy it. It really is something you should go and see but perhaps maybe not pay to see.
