Maybe anyone here is interested in a non-SHW-tourney.
I planed several tourneys with SHW, but the patch not here and we don't even know anything about it.
This tourney is played with the balanced version of ZH - ZH 1.05e.
All things belonging to the tourney is in the tourneys details.
Its ofc a 10k tourney and its played without any rule, just a normal game tbh.
Rules:
http://web155.mis06....p?tourney_id=34
Question on the tourney should be posted here:

If you have problems with our Rules and/or policy then you can post about that here but this Thread isn't the Place for this.

If you think it isn't active, then do something about it.

Well, the other topic is dusty as well.
I think u don't get that without all that effort I do and will do SHW wouldn't get so active and balanced.
Well, your choice if u support tourneys like this or not.
U should spend more time in gaining skill than in beeing a mod and move all the topics.
I still don't have played some-one which belongs to the mapping team, which had good skills.
Most here are talking and not playing, funny that talking seems to be better than playing for u.

This is a bit tragic.. a NON SW Tourny being offered HERE of all places?!

Relax Why is ShW .95 not being played in tournaments? Is it because of all the crashes???

Me and my friends Love ShW but i have to admit it has become Very difficult to find anyone to play it, most gamers have given up trying to play it at LAN or via hamachi as ShW .95 gives an estimated crash to desktop or full lock up crash every 1 in 4 games.

I am finding it more and more ridiculous to see all the suggestion posts about useless cosmetic and sound changes etc etc yet no one is talking about the fact that we have a Competitive PVP Game that CANNOT be played Competitively because of bad code.

1: Yea I don't see you doing much to keep it alive either. You just gave up. Your problem.

2: Moving it has nothing to do with supporting it. THIS IS THE PLACE WHERE THIS SHOULD BE, END OF STORY. Perhaps if you want more support, then you should work harder to keep the thread alive, rather then pissing at the mods and telling them how to do their jobs. If you havn't realized that by now, that kills threads faster then anything.

3: Guess what, he's a mod, he's doing his job, he might not even play the game at all. Skill has nothing to do with his job as a mod. Stop bringing game skill into every argument. It has nothing to do with him doing his job AS A MOD.
BTW skill means nothing more then your good at a game, nothing more, nothing less. Learn that before you bring skill into a arugment again, it just shows how weak your argument is because you can't draw from any other source.

4: What does "Playing a Mapper's team member with skill" have anything to fucking do with this? Stop taking potshots at the mapper’s guild jackass. And yes I AM taking offense to that because I happen to be a mapper and I'm fucking sick and tired of you taking potshots at us. Mind your own god damn business. Stay out of ours.

5: Guess what? This is a FOURM, talking is what forums are for. Want more playing, get in every hamachi channel posted on the board and wait for people to come online and play with you. Stop wasting post space with meaningless GARBAGE.

1). ShW was active before you got here (and it'll be active should you chose to leave). You don't speak for everyone on the team, so save yourself the headache and drop it. "Balanced" how you say it should be balanced? Oh, you mean a cookie-cutter mod. NO THANK YOU. By your statement, you're acting like you created this mod from the ground up and that you were here since day one. Well, you've only been here since Christmas of last year, and seeing as how this mod has been around for FOUR years I don't think that makes you qualified enough to make that statement.

2). Moderators get criticized when they do their job and when they don't (and for everything else inbetween). Why am I not surpirsed that this case isn't any different? By making the thread you did NOTHING wrong but put it in the wrong area. The mods aren't picking on you, so you've got no reason to throw a fit because the thread you started was moved. It's happened to a lot of people at some point or another.

To address the other half of your statement, what if the mod no longer plays ShW? I suppose that makes them a bad moderator then huh? Wow, because you can't be a moderator on this site without playing ShW am I right?[/sarcasm] Fact is, there are people on the staff that no longer play ShW, but they have a job on the forum to do. If a thread doesn't belong in a certain area, regardless of the fact of it dealing with ShW, it WILL get moved.

Alright peeps calm down!

ReLaX, we have this section for a reason. It may be dusty but there are reasons for it. I am sure you and the balance team could bring it to life. As most of the members here use the "view new posts" function it will get seen. I for one won't be taking part as I rarely get time to play online these days due to RL commitments and there are lots of others in that category as well. Hamachi has been rather barren for sometime and it has nothing to do with competitve players turning up either. If you have time eternal to spend playing then so be it. Not everyone has that priority but it would be good to see the activity increase so go for it.

As for everyone else consider this a serious warning to keep all future replies civil and on topic. This is not going to be a thread about mods, staffs or the MG.

Exactly. Is it really a massive deal that your thread got moved? No need to throw a fit. Also, what exactly does it mean that "you have skills". Will this help you in anyway in real life? I'm not a mapper, but I sympathize with them like this- They make maps, then let others play them. They don't have to you know. All you've done, particularly of late, is take potshots at the guild and complain that ShW isn't balanced. Stop complaining and do something about it! BTW, what good is it to have skills in one game, if your being an ass to a group that has devoted a lot of time to help people? and what good is being good at ZH in rl?

Hey guys, did you happen to read Wizard's post? If not, I suggest you do. It really is for your benefit.

I did read his post. I just wanted to make it clear that the Guild is basically a group making maps for our enjoyment, and that there was no need to take potshots at them every 5 minutes because every map wasn't perfectly balanced.
~SLG

EDIT: scratch that. I didn't read all of wizards post. sorry.

Exactly "The Swimmer" I agree totally! The mappers do what they do to make a game more enjoyable and it's people like you who put them off, and as for skills? Whats the point in having skills in only one game? Someone who is truly skilled is at alot of games not just one. Now the fact that you bought the mods into this just shows how imature you really are, the mods are doing there job (Good one at that) and dont need critism of kids like you. People have real lifes and jobs and may not have time to play games everyday which you need to take into account, and skills does not matter when it comes to gaming. Gaming is about fun and enjoying yourself, if everyone was concerned about there skills online gaming would suck!

Sorry Didn't see Wizards post

I think you missed part of my point there. However, your totally right about the guild. I was saying that "1337 Skillz" will get you no were in real life... (I can just see someone getting dumped after telling their girlfriend about this sorta thing)
@ The real topic, because theres
A.) no mac version of the patch (AFAIK)
and
B.) no way I can play through the standard server,
I can't play in a tourney. Sorry

Alright fair enough. But I still reserve the right as one of the party of the offended, to respond to any and all 'potshots' made against myself, my fellow mappers, and the guild itself.

As for the Tourny. I'm into DoW now and have lost most of my interest in the mod itself. I 'might' enter the tourny though, depending on the state of my affiars at the time planned.

I'd also just like to kindly point out that our skill is with Mapping, not Gaming.
I play games to have fun, socialise, and decrease my boredom levels, not to keep up with the best people out there.

I will now tell you this the last time: If you have Problems with our Rules, post it in a other Thread.
Now, in the last Thread I closed I told you that I will not take the Stuff you wrote to seriously, but I also asked you nicely to never do it again. You are basically insulting us Moderators for saying that we are doing a bad Job, I won't take this any longer.

And I also would like to tell you something else: ShW was active and, believe it or not, balanced by us for years now. Don't jump on the side now and say " Your Mod will die if I don't post Threads where I want ". It's against the Rules to post something someplace wrong and I have enough Skill to take days of and " be a Mod " to enforce the law around here, and even If I wouldn't have the Skillz, it's my duty here.

Forums are there for talking, discussing, etc. if you think otherwise, then this Place isn't for you.

I am locking this to prevent a ongoing Flame War.
