Why not? The anime forum is deader than deadest anyway. No pinups or NSFW stuff, please.
Please write something to go with the picture, this isn't supposed to be the SYD.

Now this Anime was an extreme mindbender. It's probably the most graphically violent Anime I've seen. I had seen things before I considered 'highly' violent and I no longer consider them such after watching this. This anime also managed to pull off a peculiar amount of cruelty that is quite high even for Anime where characters are already expected to die.
The ending also was very disappointing. It may be a hint to a future sequel but I don't think I could watch it again. The scene where they killed the dog was completely unecessary and mindless. Elfen Lied has scarred my mind for life. I still love the opening however.

I hated Elfen Lied. Harem cutesy bullshit nauseatingly mixed with overdone and tasteless ultraviolence, and thin social commentary to give it a semblance of meaning. The much celebrated OP art was plagiarism on a german artist, and the song wasn't composed for the show.
On a lighter note.. Viral gets the job done:

I also disliked Elfen Lieds Ending.
The Anime was indeed quite violent, I ask myself though if there any other even more Violent Anime's.
I wanted to watch one, so somebody recommended me to watch Elfen Lied. Stroy was kind of ok, but this one Girl wich becomes a Killer after she fell on her head was plain stupid.
I hate her.
Anyway ...

Sexy wallpaper there E.V.E =)

Rurouni no Kenshin. AKA Samurai X. This Anime ruled my teens. Hell, I still love this Anime. A couple of my favorite anime characters of all time are in it. The anime has a great soundtrack and it fellow the archetype of fighting anime. Except in a suprisingly well done samurai style. This Anime is also a good history lesson if you can separate the fiction from the facts. Ba--ttou--sai
Also best of all there's only around 35 episodes and unlike stuff that is like Dragon Ball Z the fights don't last longer than 2 episodes (in DB a single fight could last 10 episodes, at RnK only the most important and epic ones last under 2 episodes).
The OVA is also considered a masterpiece. It has a lot more blood and seriousness than the TV show so don't be suprised to see some violence. It's almost as violent as Elfen Lied except it's not mindless or tasteless.
