Well? In my opinion its the Colt .45 .

Dude, magnum is the bullet. Describe the weapon.

I took my original post away, rather than correct it. Here's my opinion: Desert Eagle

Desert Eagle's sole virtue is its unrivalled man-stopping power for a semi-auto. If I needed something really big, I would choose the Raging Bull.

It is a very nasty gun (spun a boar around with one shot). .44 Magnum, 260 grain(that's a lot o' kick). Good choice.

Baretta M9
Colt .45 M1911
Desert Eagle .50AE (not the puny .44 )
Glock 18 (automatic is the way to be)
KG-9 (gangsta)

Deagle has been warped by pop culture. It's actually a very difficult weapon to use.

of course it is, so is the M82A1 and other superguns

M82s can bring down helicopters pretty easily tho.

Favorite handguns:
Colt Peacemaker; old, but still awesome
Colt M1911A1: can't beat this old classic....45 ACP all the way cuz' 9mm just don't cut it.
CZ P-01: Very nice handgun...excellent grips, great out-of-the box trigger pull (most factory triggers suck), compact yet not too light, only problem is the plastic guide rod >_<
S&W 686: Dirty Harry's favorite.

Beretta M92FS

MMMM the Beretta 92FS also a great handgun. I don't see a problem with 9mm. It does its job.
