Bahahahah you people are nothing. You dont even have a General.

*launches all available TOPOL's*

*widespread destruction all over major Dutch cities*

Take that you ECA scum.

Sir, our Topol-M nuclear authorisation systems are still inactive following the Americans' cruise missile attacks! We only had time to re-arm with conventional warheads, and as such while we've managed to damage a range of military targets, we need ground support now!
Where are those VDV units we inserted? Come in, comrade Suvorov! Comrade Suvorov?

Sorry I'm late, Comrades. It took longer than expected to repair that airfield. My men have landed behind the ECA forces. My Su-25's destroyed a few Tiger Mk II's, and most of the enemy supplies. We have yet to make contact with main enemy base. We also took minimal casualties from the drop. I guess the ECA weren't expecting an airborne assault.

Acknowledged, good to hear from you. Be aware our radars and comms interceptions have picked up indications of heavy American aerial activity in your area emanating from that cursed aircraft carrier off the coast of France, so I would suggest flying CAP missions as often as you can. I would also suggest retasking elements of air defence brigades, specifically Gladiator units, to support our offensive in the Netherlands.

Spring the trap comrades!

*F-117's fly overhead, dropping JSoW's and a variety of other air-dropped munitions on the russian group behind ECA Lines.*

*American Soldiers spring from their concealed fighting positions, engaging the few remaining russian infantry, while tanks and artillery fire from their fighting holes, and patriot batteries engage incoming russian forces. Russian Air-dropped re-inforcements are slaughtered by F-22 Raptors en-route.*

Ambush sucessful. Onward!

Alert! Full alert! American forces detected! They must have reinforced those ECA dogs by amphibious assault and air landing before we inserted!

I think it's time we tested the new modifications we've made to our ABM radar tracking stations...
*Activates bandwidth modulation on radar stations across the Western border of Russia, including ultra long range Over-The-Horizon Backscatter installations and the massive radars operating as part of the A-135 missile defence network, providing a rapid snapshot of all air activity over Western Europe*
Data flowing in now - contacts detected! We've got them lit up for you - launch PAK-FA interceptors and fire all ready SA-12 missiles now!

What...? We weren't on the attack, and we're far behind friendly AA lines. Pak-FA's shot down. The raptors currently operating are far out of SA-12 range... behind the line, smashing your attempt to undercut us (or rather, suvorov's attempt)

Given that our SA-12s have a range of 60km, they can hit any air cover operating over our forces in Enschede from as far out as Cologne (Köln to be precise) in North Germany. The only reason we used a VDV unit was that they provide shock value to an area already devastated by nuclear attack, and we were facing annoying pockets of resistance from ECA elements that were preventing movement of forces in quantity quickly across the border. You also seem surprisingly overconfident of your ability to defeat our PAK-FAs. Do we have a VVS unit able to provide us with updates as to the status of our Frontal Aviation assets?

Comrade Suvorov, requesting status of your AA units. You dealt with those American Raptors in Lille; what's your report?

Please note: the PAK-FA is superior to a Raptor in practically every field except for speed. (And the Berkut is faster than both of them.)

I'm not too sure that the PAK-FA would be superior to the F-22...anyways, US pilots are better trained, and we may also have King Raptors too...
My aircraft managed to destroy the forward Russian AA sites and radar a few posts back.
Allied troops: even though we managed to take out their initial combat aircraft and defenses, satellite scans have detected that the Russians are sending more air superiority aircraft and SAMs to the Netherlands. Wild Weasel, CAS, and CAP are still available. Also, friendly reinforcements are on the way, hold on...

I would love to see it Try and shoot down a Lushkanta La-125, Russia's most modern Supersonic Bomber.

I dont like it, but I must agree with Alias. PAK-FA will be superior to F-22 even their superior-training, but they are no match against F-35, because Russians dont had anything like F-35.

Centric: As I ask others, how you know that La-125 will be in RotR?

All right, we've been through this before and I'll try to sort this out once and for all now: Volen, you complain that certain roleplayers here seem to make up/include weapons which have not been officially announced to be in the mod. Some of these units might be in, some might not, but the bottom line is that nobody knows for sure whether they'll be included or not. However, I don't see anything wrong with that:

Firstly, these are weapons which might be used in real life around the time this mod is set, so as long as nobody calls in a Deathstar or a Martian Combat Tripod, there's nothing wrong. As long as these are believable technologies inspired by real equipment which do not fuck over the game, everything goes.

Secondly, this roleplay does not work like the actual mod. In RotR, you gather resources, build units and send them into battle. It's simple as that. This thread however is actually closer to real processes in war. There's recce, satellites, spies, specialised devisions etc. The RotR mod and ZH in general is a more abstract depiction that shows the essential basics of fighting. The mechanics of this roleplay are much more complex. Faction X simply doesn't just use one kind of tank or one sort of fighter jet. In RotR, the F22 Raptor might be enough for various roles, but here, just like in reality, you have other planes for more roles. Everything is more specified and the consequence is that people have to include technologies which might not be in the mod. Look at it this way: Just because there hasn't been an update stating that the ECA will use trucks to bring their infantry to the frontline does not mean that a "real" ECA wouldn't have any trucks. It's these things that won't be present in the game because Generals in a strategy GAME, not a tactical warfare simulation, but on another level of fiction such as this roleplay, they might have trucks.

And thirdly, every side can use these "unofficial" weapons. It's not like only the Russians can say "I'll now use a submarine. It's not announced for the mod but I'll use it no matter what". The ECA-, USA-, China- and GLA-players can do the same with the only condition being that their "unofficial" weapons fit the theme of their faction and the roleplay as a whole.

How do you know it wont and what about the F-35 or FB-22? Its a place holder till we get more info about Russia's true bomber. Also just some info for Russia Generals, this strategic Bomber is called by the Allies "Blocker" for its deadly ability to block ECA Tank advances entering combat zones. It can be loaded with any flavor of weapon at your disposal from Dumb bombs to Long range Cruise Missiles. Enjoy its Amazing agility and speed, but be aware of its some what uselessness against Enemy Fighters and air superiority fighters.

Don't you think that might be taking it it a little too far, Alias? (Or was that entirely your intention?)

Oh, and, err, if the PAK-FA is more than a match for the F-22, then it's sure as hell a match for the F-35. And our pilots are trained just as well as yours - this is no longer the Cold War, we've poured plenty into military recruitment and training in addition to the impressive equipment build-ups. We had an army based almost entirely on contract soldiers as opposed to conscripts even in 2010, and most of these are now operating our advanced equipment. Obviously the infantry divisions found themselves in need of a bit more manpower than the strongest recruitment drive could provide, so they've had to volunteer a few people, but our heavy equipment has plenty of experience behind it.

Now, I think a few La-125s in combination with the remaining PAK-FAs and a coordinated strike of long-range SAMs should help push back those pesky American jets and AA positions, don't you?

Rayburn: So by that what you said USa could use Longbows and Abrams and many sorts of their equipment that would be in time of the RotR and ECA would use Gazella helicopters, LeClerc MBTs, Challenger MBTs, VERA mobile radar positions etc. Because if you will say that these cant be here, you will contradict yourselves.

CommanderJB: So you here said, that Russian training, that run about 20 years would overcome American Top Gun, that start during Vietnam War? Didnt u think that you overestimate and overpowered them? I think so.

I don't.
Look, far be it from me to try and make an enemy out of you or anyone else for that matter, but that's my simple response. I think it's entirely reasonable to assume that with the massively increased military expenditure that forms the basis for RotR, Russia would have jacked up its training programmes to comparable levels. And I said 'just as', not better. So for goodness sakes, can we just agree to disagree if you think that's unreasonable, unbelievable or 'overpowered'?

PAK-FA is Russian equivalent to F-35; Raptor is a better fighter jet while F-35 is a multirole combat aircraft.
