[Out-of-universe]PAK FA stands for Perspektivnyi Aviatsionnyi Kompleks Frontovoi Aviatsyi (Перспективный авиационный комплекс фронтовой авиации in Russian) which roughly means Advanced Tactical Frontline Fighter. Note 'tactical'. The PAK FA is fully as capable of dropping bombs and firing AGMs as any other fighter, including the Raptor, and more capable than most. Just because they're stealthed and carry air-to-air missiles doesn't mean they can only use those; I imagine that RotR PAK FAs will reflect this just as much as Generals Raptors do. So they're fully capable of attacking Gepards, but I never said they did; merely that the Gepards were highly unsuitable for attacking PAK FAs thanks to their very short range.
Also, why do you think I was trying to get a status report from the Hinds and couldn't? Because... most of them had been shot down by the Gepards, just like you said.

Look, I will say this; No side save the (for the purposes of this roleplay) non-existent China should possess nukes in the RotR timeline, as they upset the balance of this thread and really screw with all the defenders' possibilities. I will now say to my side (being a specialised general where these are my only offensive weapons and I thus control the majority of them) that last batch of Topol-Ms was the last one for at least another couple of pages, because they're basically a one-shot solve-all because the ECA are effectively defenceless against them.
So, can I ask that people don't say 'you can't do that!' all the time? Because the end result is that we spend most of our time arguing like this rather than roleplaying, and it just gets annoying.

And because I totally agree with the ECA people on the 'you can only defend' thing, I'll quote this from the opening post:

Signals monitoring indicates a large formation of American Raptor aircraft have attacked our armoured reinforcements heading through Nijmegen. Significant casualties detected, but the majority of the force is still intact. Comrades, we need to mobilise these reinforcements quickly! We may have destroyed most of their artillery fortifications in the area but there are still significant numbers of light infantry holed up in the surrounding buildings. We'll need to act fast in order to outflank and cut off the remaining ECA ground forces - and make sure we have an Integrated Air Defence System up and running fast! Those Raptors will be back soon, and they seem to be launching helicopters.
I would also suggest that we move MPT-4As into Nijmegen to see if we can salvage anything from the mess those fighters created.

CommanderJB: Mos of time we discuss because especialy you doing mistaces. For example when you will be USA-player and attack on GLA with Nighthawks. You will say something like this:
"Nighthawks attack on enemy aviation for gaining air superiority for bombarding enemy positions."
You simply think that Russian units could do everything. PAK FA are designated only for intercepting enemy aircrafts. Sure, they could attack on ground units, but when they will be in range of GEpard, say good bye to them.

[Off-topic]Okay. Let me put it to you this way. It has been confirmed that the PAK FA is to be General Alexandyr's replacement for the Su-47 Berkut. It has also been confirmed that the Berkut can fire at ground and air targets. Also the SWR team has a strong dislike for purely interceptor aircraft as they serve no purpose vs. GLA. Thus I can tell you with absolute certainty that the PAK FA, in the mod, will be able to engage both air and ground targets based on all available information from the team.

And I am the one who is making the most mistakes and prompting the most discussion? Really? Care to explain how you think this is the case? I apologise for the barb here, but I at least contribute productively to the progress of the story and roleplay.

I think I may have upset you given that I have found a few things you have had to say confusing, and vice versa. As a result we have spent a lot of time trying to disprove the other's view of the thread. To attempt to show you what my priorities for this thread are, my views on subjects of contention are these:

(1) The Mod, This Thread and Mod Leaders: The thread describes a scenario which is that of the mod. So any mod-specific units take precedence over any others, and the mod leaders word is absolute, even when it comes to story - if they say something, that's that, and it can't be undone by saying it's wrong or their facts were mistaken or my units were somewhere else etc.

(2) Non-Mod Units: Given the fact that there are only a limited number of things to play around with for ECA & USA in particular, IMO these should be allowed in as long as they do not have a direct effect on the conflict; hence my use of spy satellites (which are the ONLY 'non-mod' units I have used in this thread; all the others merely explain the presence of this Russian orbital recon without affecting the thread at all). However many people on ALL sides have now introduced non-mod combat units (A-47 drones and La-125 Blockers, I'm looking at you), which is IMO not a good idea, but regardless we now have to deal with it unless one of the leaders states these are out of order, which so far they have not.

(3) Events, Their Legitimacy and My Opinions: A couple of things happen with story events. The first is when someone says 'Missiles fired at X!' and the next says 'Missiles missed, ha ha!'. This is a problem because it means that anyone can basically protect themselves from any harm by twisting another person's actions, so I really think this should be avoided at all costs; but equally it's not technically impossible so I won't challenge these. What I will challenge is the second example; when someone says something which goes against what has already been stated in the thread. For example, if someone makes a claim about destroying something without realising that it had already been said that the thing in question is nowhere near what the person uses to destroy it, or when someone suddenly says 'I have a tank battalion here which I'm killing your stuff with' when they hadn't said they had one previously. I mean, give yourself units by all means, but I think it's completely daft to be able to magic counters into existence in the middle of a battle, so I'll challenge situations like this if they arise.

(4) Unit Capabilities: I will challenge any obviously incorrect beliefs about capabilities, such as the PAK FA issue. I do not contest that the Gepards can down them, even though I personally don't think they ought to be able to as they're short-ranged point-defence units which are fifty years old at the time of this mod and not even official; but the PAK FAs were never anywhere near the Gepards in the first place. The only thing that came into contact with the Gepards were the Hinds, which were, as you say, shot down.

Let me make this very clear. I do not want to argue with you and do not want to take this any further; let us agree to disagree if you have problems with the way I do things, please. I will only discuss things when they fall into the above categories.

I only want to stay in way of the RotR, but for now there must be some non-mod units as u said, because RotR team only concentrate on showing all Russian weapons.

You said that Gepards are in RotR 50 years old right? And what about Topols, Tunguskas or Buratinos. They are old about twenty years right? And PAK FAs are also old like this, or only take 5 years out.

One of the greatest bads of the RotR Team is that they leave this RP for players. As I know, RPs need someone who command it from independent side of the conflict. On one Czech chat there was several RPs that i played and every of them had this guy, that was called PJ (Pán Jeskyně= in English LoC- Lord of Cave) that control RP and control if players respect rules and sometimes said what happends and players said how act. This Rp ned someone like that.

And about abbilities, with this noone can control it if we dont know true abbilities of RotR units.

If I can ask, what did I do? The incoming Russian forces still have like 400 tanks, and my regiment only killed 100.
