The Czechs are a big, strong team. I would never rule them out. Portugal should win, but you never know.

Spain and the Netherlands are playing the best football out there, I'd love it if one of them two won the championships based on their style. I found the Czechs very lacking, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Turks beating them for second place in Group A behind Portugal. And the Italians might have lost heavily to the Dutch, but they were very unlucky on front of goal and van der Sar made some very good saves; can anyone see the French or Romanians scoring past anyone's defence? Italy and the Dutch to progress through the Group of Death.

Despite Spain and the Netherlands playing the nicer football, I still think the Germans should win the Euro. Very solid defensively and the best playmaker in the tournament with Michael Ballack, they'll beat the striker-less Portuguese in the semi's 2-1 and then either the Dutch or the Spaniards in the final.


And btw I'm currently in Basel, about to head into town to one of the Fanzones to see the Portugal/Ceska and Switzerland/Turkey games on the big TV screens. If they cut to the Fanzones on the TV coverage I'm the tall Irishman wearing a Swiss t-shirt :P Hopp Schwitz!!!!

Germany is failing, they lost against Croatia, but Croatia got better since the WC from 2 years ago (I was in Croatia when final match between France and Italy was :P). I hope we (Holland) will win against France, then we are sure of a place ^^
