I think Italy will win, the team is better than the world cup team but the manager might not be as good.

Also I'd like to complain about 3 of the best teams being in one group.
And also the qualifying groups.
I really do believe Scotland should have been in this competition, but as they were in the same group as France and Italy stood no chance in their group. If they were in Englands group they would have got in, more chance than England who truly were shameful

I counted 7 games with 3+ goals. Smooder, seriously? This is a championship final, not a Div 3 playoff quarterfinal!
I'd like to think Spain have the metal, they are probably due for a win, but they have never functioned well as a team, same goes for Holland. Great individuals, not a team though.
I honestly have a suspicision that Russia are going to make an impact this time. Maybe even the final. That said, Italy will probably win it. Can't think of another team as experienced, talented and good penalty takers as the Azzurri.

I think Russia and Poland are equal. I mean russia had some luck in the qualification and they weren't really convincing if we watch how they play, even though they got Hiddink. Poland on the other hand, was winner of their group iirc, with some sporadic great forward play.

That doesn't "always" dictate how the tournament pans out though. Italy have won lots of titles and not planned at their best in qualifying.

No, you have to look at the pedigree of teams and their ability to become motivated to win the tournament. Any team with Advocaat as manager has the ability to turn the last 45 minutes into a winning half. The italians are rock solid defensively. These things win tournaments.

Well being a Croat i think my stand is obvious...
Though I would like to see Romania pulling a miracle (mostly cuz they are in a limbo due to their group)

I'm not a great football enthusiast but I try to follow important tournaments such as euro- or world-cups. Yesterday's match between Germany and Poland was quite interesting and at the moment, the Netherlands scored twice against Italy. Hopefully, the finale will be the classic duel between Germany and the Netherlands.

Make that 3 times. I think the Netherlands have the potential to do really well in the "group of death", especially considering France's 0-0 draw with Romania.
