Just a question: can I, as a RPG N00b, play this game easily? It does look really nice I must admit. This seems like one of the few RPG's I may like (I hate those fantasy/Middle-age RPG's )...

Fallout is very easy to learn and it looks like they have kept the bulk of the old layout for stats.

I don't know how they'll do dialogue but in the old ones you clicked on the statement you wanted to make and the character you were chatting to responded. Movement was point and click, now it looks more WASD with mouse to aim vision.

Stats were on the SPECIAL system,

Strength
Perception
Endurance
Charisma
Intelligence
Agility
Luck

With perks which you could choose, you'd also get skill points to spend on a large selection of skills, from small guns to lock picking to bartering to first aid.

I think you'll do fine starting as a n00b, given the last Fallout was over 10 years ago there will be a huge number of new players, and I can't think of anything that's like it to bridge the gap.

iirc they are going to do it like original fallouts but they have voice actors for everyone so no one is left without a voice.

What I don't want to see in Fallout 3 is:

Person 1: "A came across a Brahmin the other way."
person 2: "Ugly cretin is is..."

in one out of five convos between NPCs.

Knowing Bethesda

Everyone remember the description of shotgun shells from Fallout 2? ".... Not suitable for children under36 months"

That's the sort of humour I want to see, and hopefully some dark sarcasm.
