Well, yeah, not quite as hard as contra 005, my turtling+hard mode (aka, easy) wasn't quite as easy as I thought (don't worry, I only do this to try out every aspect of the general, so I can build a couple of each unit, see how it performs, etc.). So basically, i was playing as USA Laser vs. GLA toxin hard enemy. I was turtling, he was being pathetic (couple of laser crusaders, laser defenders, and humvees kept them ALL at bay). Then suddenly, once he turned 3 star general, there was all this new toxin stuff, there was acid (similar to phosphorus from the krait in SHW), dust (lol at this, dust clogs enemy engines to shoot them down), and clouds of toxin and acid. My forces were getting pwned before I just built up a huge omega tank force while my defenders held off the huge dust, acid, and anthrax clouds, and rolled them over.
So a little nasty surprise from the toxin general, but othewise, lots of new content, and there's no glitches.
I'll literally spend at least 12 hours playing this mod just to get all the content out of it lol.
BTW, the leader of the contra mod said that 006 would have buyable experience or something... where is that option?
