okay it works now but i get some SERIOUS crashes when using certain genpowers. everything else works fine though.

Seriously? THey took away the uber AI and replaced it with normal ZH AI?

Well, at least that way, it'll be a hell of a lot easier to find out about all the new units and stuff (lol, it's what I do when I play new mods, turn AI to easy, pump out a couple of each unit, use super powers, generals abilities, get a good taste of everything lol).

Actually, the AI is decent. Just turtle for a bit and make a few forces etc and you should face a big clump of enemies.(Make sure it is on Insane Enemy)

Also did anyone check out the General Challenges?I tried too but it keeps throwing a Serious Error everytime I choose a General...

AI isnt even close to AI in 005.
Even insane AI is easy to beat.
Play 005 and you see what real AI is.

^I have and the AI was buggy as hell...I prefer the current AI over the last version as it's been improved and has bug fixes.

Ever faced a Scorpion rush by the AI?

I'll play this mod as soon as I can get it to work...I have it downloaded but the launcher launches regular ZH. Maybe because of ShW and CWC.

Well, yeah, not quite as hard as contra 005, my turtling+hard mode (aka, easy) wasn't quite as easy as I thought (don't worry, I only do this to try out every aspect of the general, so I can build a couple of each unit, see how it performs, etc.). So basically, i was playing as USA Laser vs. GLA toxin hard enemy. I was turtling, he was being pathetic (couple of laser crusaders, laser defenders, and humvees kept them ALL at bay). Then suddenly, once he turned 3 star general, there was all this new toxin stuff, there was acid (similar to phosphorus from the krait in SHW), dust (lol at this, dust clogs enemy engines to shoot them down), and clouds of toxin and acid. My forces were getting pwned before I just built up a huge omega tank force while my defenders held off the huge dust, acid, and anthrax clouds, and rolled them over.

So a little nasty surprise from the toxin general, but othewise, lots of new content, and there's no glitches.

I'll literally spend at least 12 hours playing this mod just to get all the content out of it lol.

BTW, the leader of the contra mod said that 006 would have buyable experience or something... where is that option?

I downloaded it and have run the exe briefly - it seems to work, it isn't throwing up any errors or anything like that, but all the text in the installer (I haven't actually tried installing it yet - I'm having too much fun on Freelancer) is question marks. The same exact thing happened with version 005. Do I need a font pack or something? Have I accidentally downloaded the Cyrillic release?
(By the way, version 005/006 etc? Does he really plan to release hundreds of versions?)

my installer is all ?????????????????????????????????????????? as font. i used initiative. and the buying experience was removed as it caused game mismatches. i just want to see how the nuclear storm looks like. i like the new gattling projectiles.

Well, the installer didnn't work for me (either its cause of vista, or because i have first decade). So i just extracted all the files to teh ZH folder, and it works fine.

Hey E.V.E. I think you'll love Nuke gens Nuclear Storm SW, you can destroy an entire base in one shot cause it sends like 12 nuclear missiles like a scud storm.

I downloaded it and extracting went fine. However when using the launcher, it simply started regular ZH. Then i copied all files as mac-users have to and it worked. First i was trying out the challenge with airforce and it started against Infantry (that's new) but it was insane! For some reason the game speed was doubled and i couldnt even get a base together he rushed me with tons of infantry and vehicles. Air Force and Infantry where totally useless.

Next i'll try some skirmish to at least see the new stuff. IMO Creator really upped his modelling skills and the units look just plain awesome, but i am not convinced about the play style he included, meaning stripping away defences and the whole rank thing.

Yeah, I tested it out already and you're right, it's kind of neat but yeah ... well ... insane? :/
Even has a Typo in the General Ability Screen. :(

About the Mod, there are some realy nice Units in there, with nice Textures and all, but some Elements are just ... wrong.
Taking ages to Rank up, All sides get Mines ( what the hell ) and some things somehow look very familiar, things I have seen in some other Mods ... :)

It's a nice Time Killer though.

One last Question, what does that weird Magnetic Bomb do? This Green Thing? It's basically an EMP Bomb, or not?
