Well it looks like all you did was double-click on the buildmod.bat file. You have to launch it from a command prompt and give it the name of your mod.

actually ive been using the shortcut trick to compile my mods, but i did have to uninstall it for some reason and i might not have replaced the target correctly.

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3\Mod SDK\BuildMod.bat" HellFire

but only now have i noticed, its also trying to run twice, it runs, gets error, then runs again and gets error again, did i break it?

Okay, ZESPY46 from the cnc forums, what are you exactly up to in modding at this point?

You should have read the cnc3 mod sdk tutorials from various sites starting from cnc3.net. Don't lose your temper and attitude at this moment.

And I'll bet the buildmod.bat file you are using is EA's original instead of Codecat's remodified buildmod.bat. Codecat's version is simply the best I used. Another mod builder is ModBuild.exe from the ppmsite forums, I think.

ummm sorry? ........ i hope i didnt come off as angery in this ....... i dont think i did ...... did i?

but if your talking about me on the EA CnC 3 site, what ever is going on there i leave there, unless some one was to ask.

but as for this error, im not sure what is wrong or why, and the tutorials mean crap all to me because they dont tell you EXACTLY how to edit every thing.

at least the ones i have seen.

im using the one that is part of the newer SDK that they created, but if there is one that works better than theirs, please give me a link.

as for things i have edited.
GDI weapons have a 10 or 100 range boost *depending on weapon* and units 10 - 100 HP boost.
NOD weapons have 10 - 25 attack speed boost *depending on unit* and units have a 10 - 20 speed boost.
Scrin units have 5 - 10 speed boost *depending on unit* a 5 - 10 attack range boost and a 10 - 15 hp boost

GDI harvester is slower but more HP, Gun has longer range and more damage, also has slot for a squad
Nod harvester + 20 speed but - 100 HP - $100

GDI can build Tib spike that generates $15, can build defencive tower that can now shoot AA units, has longer range and sight.

NOD can build EMP center and Devencive tower

Scrin speeds up Tib faster

ive edited almost every file type in the game and havent had any real problems, sure things here and there but noting like this.

You didn't happen to change the folder structure of your game installation or your mod folders did you?

ok it didnt say so, do i just add that first code to the buildmod, or do i replace the old code with it and does it need to be in an order?

im sorry for all the questions its just that i dont want to mess it all up, better to be safe than blow up your computer right?

ok now i KNOW what the problem is that i was having, but i dont know why.

in the buildmod.bat file, there is a line that if you change to *true* it will make a log file of what was going on right, i just made it so that i could do that and i got the windows error *must shut down program etc*

what would do that?
