Amen to that, mate. It really isn't quite the same as it once was. I don't know if its going to get better or worse, but ya can only hope, no?

Totally agree with the Commander on this one.

So no, the internet is definitely not dying.

I take this approach to everything in my life. I'd say it's worked pretty well for me thus far.

I can't recall that the stupidity of some People was that big years back, or I simply didn't meet the "right People" back then.
Then again, I can't realy say that I was often online because of my awesome 56K back then.
About things becoming old, I agree there aswell. There only are realy few Memes I find funny, most of them are just plain boring.
What I also noticed was that some People made the Internet their second Life, doing things that are completely irrelevant / make no sense, taking some things just way to seriously and that they realy like to disrespect alot of People for who knows what reason.
There are good things aswell though. You can meet some nice People ( If you go to the correct places that is ... ) that share your Interessts.
Also, the Internet is the Place to get Stuff you couldn't normally get, like rare Soundtracks, Games etc.
Not only that, we can now find out nearly everything we want, atleast when you can handle google.
You got the most powerfull Information Center infront of you, so use it.

That reminds me of the old saying...
Make it idiot-proof, and someone will make a better idiot.
...Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Now it's just there as there is a certain familiarity with it. I don't think of it as being alive or dead, but as Dauth has said I have cut down on the amount of sites that I visit to about as many as you can count on two hands. No, I'm not polydactyl.

Until you (anyone saying the internet is dead, or whatever) have read each of those trillion pages, you can't really say the internet is dead... If you're looking for cool, original pages, I'd suggest trying stumbleupon, you can find some damn interesting stuff through that

Thirded. Although up until just over 4 years ago I just had 56k anyways. The internet is still great for many things, but many game communitues have become over-run with idiots.

Particularly on the music on internet where you can find something very rare and valuable that I could never get otherwise (trade, bootlegs, youtube, etc...).
