Gonna wait 'till GZ to find out...

it's gotta be a ruse. whoever *supposedly* sent the message (i think i know who) just happens to run across a forum that has a Ground Zero. and this person just happens to know what ground zero is, before most of the forum members do.

i think that the mods didn't cancel GZ, but will spring it on us when GZ arrives.

Wow. That really sucks. I know the general idea - and I must admit I had wondered whether it might tread on a few toes, but I'd never thought legal action would have been warranted - but I was still looking forward to the specifics, and of course the community's reaction. Hopefully you'll still be able to do this, just perhaps with a slight tweak or two here and there.

I want to know just how the frigging hell it violates anything at all. It's not like you was using any copyrighted material. I could possibly see it stepping on a toe or two with games like Stalker and Fallout but ... not even so much there that there would be LEGAL ACTION.

I myself am sceptical about this.
From what I know, I can see one or two things that may have some legal ramification due to the insane times of today and political correctness, but otherwise, I cannot see anything that would cause something this major.

As far as I know there are not enough evidence supporting this cancellation of Ground Zero if it's true about this cancellation may we request showing us a very hard concrete evidence. If it's not allowed to tell us then may the staffers tell us when may this problem be fixed? Please.

To answer some more questions raised.

1. Right now we know very little in the way of hard facts in relation to the issue in question.
2. What we have chosen to do is precautionary until we do.
3. If this is sorted out then GZ will still happen.
4. As I have said there are several people outside of this community that have an involvement, we think this is where this issue has come from.
5. We are looking into this as we speak.
6. We believe that there is a misunderstanding on this issue by another party and that this is wholly groundless.

Will the countdown start from the beginning or continuing the final days of the countdown?

Well Ground Zero is scheduled for the first - I'd expect if this was sorted before then that the countdown would just skip a few days and we'd continue on path.
