Small question about the map. J4=supposedly last stand city? And wtf happened to the infamous country called Denmark?

Denmark doesn't figure in this particular campaign, maybe, if all goes well there will be further battlefronts including Denmark. Plus the map is big enough as it is and what you're seeing is actually half the size of the one I have created.

As for Cologne, it's only the last stand if you guys let it get that far.

If I got that right, the bases of the Russians in foreign countries cannot be attacked. How is the ECA supposed to win then?
Other thing: would you mind about having Dresden as a base city? Many intelligent engineers come from there, so it would be more defended. Just a suggestion.

The map is now 100% finalised and took me long enough to sort out. I am not changing it now, but that is purely out of being lazy and frustrated with it and not a total rejection of peoples ideas.

ECA will win when they can push the Russians back for long enough that the GM decides they have won.

Well then, when will the test phase begin? And in which thread?

CommanderJB is the GM and he will start the RP proper. What he meant by test, is that the first few turns will be a "test" to see if the rules work. There will be no "test" thread, you'll just be playing in once thread. And he'll get to it when he can.

I saw how much time Wiz put into this map. If I were you I'd thank him and get on with enjoying the role play, unless of course you don't like custom made maps that took dozens of hours to develop ...

Hey electron, if you're interested, and JB is cool with it, you can have my spot. I just had a crap ton of stuff come up that is going to be taking quite a bit of my free time over the next couple of weeks. If it's alright with you all I'd like to just monitor how this thing goes and get an idea of how it works.

GrizzAFWX, if you're willing, and if Electron really wants his spot back, then that would be extremely kind of you. I'll be seriously considering bumping up the number of Commanders for each side when we start for real anyway, so if we get another person thinking that this looks fun, then we should easily be able to make room for you when you're ready.
I'll be starting the official roleplay thread with a practice round in just a few moments; you can take this first one if you like, Grizz, since I'm not sure whether Electron will have realised he's back in yet.
Electron, please be a bit faster next time, and also note that you're now on the Russian side.

@dauth: I'm not saying the map is bad (frankly its more than good) but I like whole Europe more than just Germany

If this attempt is successful, we'll move on to the whole of Europe (or at least add other bits of it successively, and probably more players as well). There's no point spending months creating a mega-map of the whole of Europe when we don't even know how well the system is going to work.
