I thought this would be a nice idea, and may encourage users to be a little more active 8|

If people want this quiz, i'll need some help.
I'll supply some of the quizzes if people don't mind, but I would like some people to help so I can take part now and then.
Also, i'd like an artist to supply some small sigs to let people know who runs the quiz ;D Thats if, you don't mind.

Just for clarification, by FS you mean Fallout studios, and by FS quiz you mean a quiz about the forums in general?

If done right this could be quite interesting and entertaining. However, it would need prior planning, and certainly we could get some good quizzes set on specific subjects by those more knowledgeable on certain areas (the obvious ones are eg Dauth for Physics and Chyros for Chemistry) If it gets a good response from here I'd be happy to help.

FS= Fallout studios

FS Quiz= A quiz about anything that can be suggested. Unless people vote for just general knowledge. But a quiz about the forum might be a good suggestion for one of them ;D

Edited for clearity

Bah had multi-choice on. Should be fixed now. Just deduct one vote from always general knowledge when reading it and you should be fine ;D

Voted yes, but I'm not sure a poll or PM arrangement would be all that good - it would give people an opportunity to look answers up. I reckon using the IRC might actually be a good way to do this. It gives very little time to look answers up, and has other benefits like getting more people on the IRC as well.

The only way it will work fairly is if the quiz is conducted on the IRC. Its a nifty idea and should also encourage the use of IRC hopefully.

There was a quiz about various forum memes/forum culture for this years' April Fools.

By the way, back when I was active in the IRC channel, I tried to start trivia. Nobody liked the idea.

I for one don't like the idea.

It worked for Codecat because you couldn't gain access to the forums if you didn't take part.
Think of all the poor guests trying to access that day 8|

But still, It was a one off, and I think making it a regularity would vastly reduce the amount of fun involved, making it seem like a chore to take part, not to mention the fact that you would soon run out of questions.

From the poll and the responses. It seems like this is a good idea. However, I need confrimation on the system. A lot of people who have replied have stated that an IRC quiz might be the way to go, but the poll states that people want the poll system. But it has accured to me that, that method encourages cheating. So unless people can give me a good reason to use the poll system, I will go with IRC.

And I have thought of a good way of doing it on the IRC 8|

The issue with the IRC is that you will limit the numbers available to take part, not only as we are all cross time zone, but also there are several active members who can't access it, ie Alias.

This is an interesting idea, but it's application is problematic. However there may be a solution to it......I think someone can get back to you on that.
