Just got done cleaning and restoring my kids comps, what a job.

Took me almost two days by time I finished all the updates and getting rid of the apps that we don't use. All good as new now tho |8

My little girl has a bad habbit of downloading pretty much anything that has the words "messenger" or "music" in it.

My boys pretty good, his was just full of games and odds n ends.

I'm gonna have to get him a new comp soon, getting to the point he can't play a new game on it.

Well, that's my spam for the day/week/whatever |8

Sounds like a wonderfully fun task and one I need to mimic in the summer with my Sister's PC, it needs formatting, a RAM upgrade and a Graphics card upgrade too. That should make it last over the next 2 years.

Things like CCleaner and defraggler always help extend the life of a system.

Software like Driver Detective is always good as well to help make sure all your hardware drivers and software is up to date.

Sounds like a gruelling task nonetheless.
Your little girl is starting to sound an awful lot like my little sister already. |8

As long as you don't pay for it and manually find all the drivers.

Well thank goodness I didn't have any real bad driver issues, only have one problem with my sons comp, and it's not that bad, just have to pull the video card and put it back in after the main part of the restore is done, if not it just hangs up.

I pulled the cards from both to clean the dust out of the fan and heatsink anyways.

about the last one...NICE!!!!

I know wat you mean, afterall, my sister wrecked my big desktop for the tenth time this week (screwed up one of the main 500Gig HD (all together it has about 1.8 Terrabytes). Still, I'm thankful I have a laptop, although I DO need to get a new one as it can't run anything Post-late 2003 on it and a WAY bigger HDD.
