Battlefield continues to customise the shit out of everything with vehicle customisation.
A new era dawns for the tank whores. I hope anti tank missiles actually do some fucking damage this time round
Also found this great vid that sheds a lot of light on BC2;

The sound effects are the best Ive heard in a game
[/quote]
Holy shit, that's awesome.
I've always enjoyed the gameplay of BF2, good to see that they might be recapturing this, but with better graphics and greater realism. Very nice. I dare say, it's looking better than MW2, they really must be doing quite a lot of optimisation if it's going to be running on the 360 and and PS3 - though I'm just happy that's its being released for PC.

Xbox 360 and PS3 players needn't be worried, but if you want to play Bad Company 2 on PC, here's some news for you from the Battlefield Blog.

A lot of buzz has been floating around the internet lately about dedicated servers and we wanted to make sure our all our players have the best understanding of how Battlefield will be played on the PC. Since Battlefield 1942 DICE has used dedicated servers for all platforms. This formula has worked well, and still works well, for us and for the gaming community. We have stayed true to this practice and will continue this tradition into the upcoming title Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Other games use player-hosted or 'peer to peer' solutions, often resulting in a "host with the most" situation; where the player hosting the match has an advantage over other players connected to their game. Everyone else is dependent on the host's internet connection and if they don't have a great connection neither will you regardless how great of an internet you have. Also, unless server migration is implemented the game ends when that hosting player quits the game forcing you to find another player-host or start your own. With dedicated servers everyone gets non-stop action with no connection penalties based on some other player and their internet. This makes dedicated servers the best solution for online PC gaming hands down! So rest assured PC players, Battlefield will stay true to its roots offering dedicated servers to all its players and continue the tradition of the ultimate FPS gaming experience!

They are basically sticking there fingers up at Activision and Infinity Ward, which is awesome. I love it when game company's do the right thing, i was nearly expecting BC2 to not have dedicated servers and follow in the footsteps of MW2.
Congrats to EA and Dice for doing the right thing server wise

Wow, I just noticed that in that vid, the gun skin changed colors when the player switched to his nade launcher. I hope they fix that...it'd be an odd thing if it was intended. :|

EA does not make the game. They publish it.
But I can tell you I want this game so badly it makes my throbbing member hard just thinking about it.

YES I'm more excited about this game than MW2 tbh because I know MW2 is probably gonna be more of the same as CoD4 even graphicswise, its still the same mostly.

Someone who was so annoyed at MW2's dedicated server thing and so pleased BFBC2 didnt do the same actually sent them the money they were going to use to buy MW2
Also there is a link for a second fan pack which contains an awesome wallpaper of the box art, and without the silly names

No matter what will happen with MW2, the drop of dedicated servers has definitely boosted BC2s sales on the PC.
I'm downloading the pack and i will probably have the Boxart as my BG
