It's not distributing keys atm, it says "Sorry, but there are not more keys available. Please check back soon"

Not sure if they'll replenish it but thanks for the address :P .

MyIs is only one of the most trusted server companies for the battlefield franchise :).

I don't know about you guys but I haven't been able to find a playable game yet. This is making MM in MW2 look good. So far not impressed.

If you haven't already try to update, they fixed that crap just today. Or use the Server Browser :)

It's a beta though, isn't it? All I've the games I've connected to have been quite playable (even with pings of around ~200). I've just gotten a few random crashes during loading or when I change my settings. Then again, I've only played about a couple of minutes in total.

At the start i couldn't find a game but now every game i join it connects to.

It is a Beta, you can't expect it to work for everyone straight away.

Steam updates it for me and the server browser is bugged, Dice even put a message on the ticker saying so and telling everyone to use the 'play now' option, so I basically don't have any choice about what game I join.

Yes I get that it's a beta, but a beta should really be at least playable. It should be about finding glitches, bugs and balance requirements in the game mechanic, not MM system. Or at least, the MM system should work. Putting a beta out without a working server browser is a bit of a schoolboy error imo.

I think for the majority it works fine, i have had loads of great connections; it seems you are getting the short straw.

If you have previously found a server that didn't suck try using your history 8|.

It's a good game imho, but I'm not sure about buying it anymore.

I don't really like the map and the gamemode

There's more maps. There's also Conquest/Squadrush/Squad Deathmatch. :)

Tried the 360 demo, and given that 3 hours quickly slipped away...

There are a few things I don't like. The map isn't the best (though I'm sure there will be more maps, and better ones at that), the helicopter controls are somewhat clumsy, and I can't figure out how to get the rockets guided with the tracer dart. And snipers seem at least a little OP at the moment. Recoil's a bit underwhelming, or at least it seems that way.

Apart from that, it's pretty good. Vehicles can be countered by infantry effectively, but they can also wreck infantry when used right. The visuals are pretty impressive, and I don't think I've often had a game where snow thrown up around me causes problems with seeing things. The reload animations also aren't those robocop-precision ones you get in CoD4. The sound, too, is exceptional; one thing I noticed being particularly good is that the helicopter's minigun still sounded positively menacing even from a distance. And again, the vehicles are pretty cool. The tank, especially, is very satisfying to use. Oh yes.

All in all, I definitely like the looks of what's coming.

On the Helicopter : You're best with a gunner. It's not a one man show :).

Sniper always seems to be more OP in Consoles simply because more people solo in Consoles from my experience. But I also cannot figure out this tracer dart shit. And I also dislike this map (though it's probably from me playing it like 30 times over). Also was a tad surprised at the light recoil from all guns.

Maybe it's because modern guns are designed to cut back on recoil? Though the older weapons should provide a kick as well.

OH REALLY??? 8| The map isn't a problem as there will be other maps (only 8 though) I'm just a bit dissappointed by the overall gameplay (mostly balance, but I'm sure that will change)

TBH I think snipers are underpowered. You need two hits on a target unless its a headshot and the rate of fire of the M-24 (yeah I know there are unlockables) is so terribly slow that it's just impossible to fire 2 shots at one target. So unless you're an uber-headshot-pro sniping isn't that good imho.

I've seen some footage of an M60 - a full-size LMG firing the very heavy 7,62x52 mm round; firing it should kick it all over the place - have no recoil to speak of.

I haven't played it but I happen to know BF: Heroes had a recoil value of 0 for all weapons except the snipers. Maybe they've done the same here.

You can't compare to BF: Heroes, thats a free cartoon shooter, i doubt they will have taken anything from that :)

Well, okay, to be fair, there isn't a ton of recoil, but it's not nonexistant either. Still, it's better to crouch and whatnot to aim.
