Actually, "6-10 hours" is already longer than CoD4's SP-campaign. It's cool too see
that Soap is still alive and I'm looking forward to this mysterious Special Forces mode.

The longest ever attempt of IW to make SP longer is at CoD2 which lasted *drumroll* 2 hrs longer than CoD4 (and CoD)
but its always awesome even though its short

damn... why dont they have coop?
that was one of the best new parts of WaW (next to zombies of course)
they could just rip it from WaW, cause it looks like its built on the same engine

Meh, coop gets old really quickly IMO. Team games are cool though
.
Also, yay, Soap returns. He didn't say anything at all, unfortunately. IMO it'd be more fun for Price to return. Which is inevitable.

Price is a trademark character so his return is a MUST (I mean only once in the series did he died...cookie to the guy who figures where)

If my memory doesn't fail me, he died in part one on board the Tirpitz; shot dead while you're busy sabotaging the engine.
I agree that Price is THE iconic character of the CoD franchise but he can stay dead in MW2 for all I care. It'd be a little ridiculous if he survived the showdown on the bridge, not to mention that this whole scene would lose a LOT of its cinematic impact if they just ret-con the whole event. They could actually pull off something emotional by having Soap visit Price's grave, Metal Gear Solid style. Although that might exceed the pathos-limit of a war game that isn't Medal of Honor...
Judging by the latest news, I'm rather sure that Soap will be the badass squad leader this time around. Makes me wonder what his face looks like.

Well judging by the way his character went in CoD2 he already survived some ridicilous shoot-outs.

I hope they dont leave out split screen to replace it with online multiplayer only. Thats the way non-wii games seem to be going atm

Well, given the new trailer, we now know some of the new guns in the game; the guy who gets judo thrown when the MiG-29s are blowing up in the background is carrying a Steyr AUG A2 with what appears to be a reflex sight on it. The gun that previously belonged to the poor sap who is getting immolated in the explosion looks a lot like a UMP.

In the snow mobile scene, the player is wielding a Glock of some kind:

Apparently, according to the new issue of Game Informer, there will be a FAMAS as well.

Apparently the Russians (?) in the scene with the Hinds are carrying AK-74Ms or AK-103s.

As for the SDVs, well, now I know. Interesting things - that's no ad-hoc raid for sure...
Though I would question their 'laser-guided missile gameplay' tag. There's no way that's a targeting scope of any kind (the lack of a reticle is somewhat convincing in this direction). I'm not sure what helicopter (or UAV or jet for that matter) has multiple quickly-mobile cameras and uses them simply for observation, though.

``Steyr AUG, UMP? What the hell, are they Austrians?ยดยด
Got a problem with that?
Nobody complained about all the German weapons in CoD4 and the UMP is actually a H&K product too......and a French political party but I guess
that's another story. It's certainly nice to see that they _apparently_ listened to popular demands and added the AUG and a Glock of some sort.

Yay, an AUG
. Glock will probably be the next pussy pistol
(analogy of the Beretta). I'd think it a pity if they put in a newer kalashnikov than the 47 but that's my taste. I'm interested in what more they'll throw in this time.

That's strongly out of line as it falls into the category of an attack on a member and thus directly contravenes our rules. I suggest if you have a problem with someone's opinion that explaining to them what you perceive as the error of their ways is going to be more productive for everyone than insulting them. Certainly it will be more promotional of a long stay on the board.

To me that looks more of an G36 instead of UMP (btw too lazy to quote so i apologise for that)

It's UMP, I bet my brown pants for that one.
It has absurdly long magazine, unlike G36. And for people misunderstanding the point of my previous reply, I was referring in a sarcastic way, as I've never saw russians with these, or if they do have those, then it's quite an uncommon sight.

Addendum to my previous post about the Glock handgun; look closely and you will see that the slide release lever is on the wrong side (the left side). Glock doesn't make left handed guns as far as I can recall. This got me thinking- this fictional lefty Glock might be a special weapon for the snowmobile stage. Also a second of so before you see the Glock handgun, the guy who falls off the snowmobile to the right is definitely carrying a modern day AK, judging by the muzzle brake, and what appears to be a reflex sight on it.
And about Chechen/Arab baddies using H&K and Steyr guns- they used a lot of G36s, Uzis, MP5s, M92Fs and P90s in CoD4 so I wouldn't think it strange for them to have non Russian guns in the sequel.

in the gameinformer they said that the enemies get customizable guns in the same spirit as COD4's multiplayer, and hinted at a customizeable SP character
