Brazil would be an interesting choice though - certainly an original one.

Go play COD4 then 8|

I hope they balance the game more, i found it got boring in multiplayer sometimes because of the exploits and excessive camping.

This video is a spoiler

Expect the game to be based on this movie.

Broken link I'm afraid. Says it's a 'malformed ID'.

Honestly, IW have never failed to disappoint me when it comes to their games. I still find playing CoD2 and CoD4 fun.

EDIT: was able to see the link

boy do i hope they take out stopping power and juggernaut (if only one of the two, stopping power for sure would have to go)

when there is stopping power, there is absolutely no reason to pick any of the other perks unless you have a specialized class (stealth or something), but i hope they get rid of juggernaut as well.

It'd actually be a fantastic disaster if they took out only one of the two. Especially if they left in only Juggernaut - all snipers would be worthless. Instantly.

The could also take place in the Middle East.

Maybe not Brazil but there is Mercs 2 that takes place in some location in South America that I forgot.

The wandering spiders down there are more dangerous then any terrorists you might be shooting at though.

Mercs 2 took place in Venezuela.

Also of note; apparently the trailer takes place in Japan since one can hear Japanese in the background at the airport.

Why not take place in several locations?

actually, taking into account this is a Call of Duty it will be strange if they didnt take place in several locations

also about the games taking place in brasil, didnt Haze and Hawx take place in it?

Maybe you simply play as 2 different Persons again, at different Locations.

There were only a few Brazil based missions in Hawx iirc

From HAWX demo:

Operation: Glass Hammer (Rio De Janeiro) — Take flight over GeoEye technology (the world's best satellite data), and witness Brazil like never before.

That made a grown man giggle.

That's what I was thinking. There is no doubt that the new CoD single player campaign will be set in several locations world wide.
Quote

amazin's Photo amazin 27 Mar 2009

that is why preferably they should take them both out, cause those 2 really excel over the rest

deltaepsilon's Photo deltaepsilon 27 Mar 2009

Brazil eh?

Perhaps some of the missions will involve taking down drug lords. Now that'd be awesome.

And SOAP!

Rainbow Six 3 (most of the game is set in South America and the final mission is in Rio de Janeiro)

IW started the series and its scientifically proved that everyone elses CoD games are lame (except for UO which actually followed the spirit of CoD). CoD3 sux, CoD5 sux and other console version suck too (except for CoD4 as that one is IW's version)
Quote

amazin's Photo amazin 27 Mar 2009

overall, i thought UO was better than all of them, except for 4

man, the trench level was intense

^ Personally, I loved the bomber level. It was quite an interesting idea and even though
you basically just switched between different MGs, they still managed to make it thrilling.
