Remember that little thing I started back that time with that name? Well, turns out that name wasn't as original as I'd first thought, there was already a game called "Rom Check Fail" which I'd actually played in the past. So here we are, the official relaunch under a new name!

First I'd like to announce the official staff team:

That's not to say everyone else is locked out. The suggestions forum is still wide open, and if there's anything else you'd like to contribute then you're more than welcome to join the team or just contribute casually.

I really wanted to have this relaunch with something awesome to show, but alas there's nothing I can really show in that regard. Most of the work I've done since has been 'under the hood' sort of stuff, for example we're now running at 640x400 as opposed to 320x200. I'll try and have something nifty to show sometime soon.

So um yeah, woot. Commense whining about how horrible the new name is.

Otherwise good news It's great to see you back in action.

It's Japanese for "Deluxe Wars", I was throwing some ideas around in IRC and Billy added the UUUUUUs to the end and the name just stuck

You already know what I think of the name, its not quite Welsh, but its close. That said, congrats on getting it from 320x200 to 640x400.

The new name is a bit... different.

If you like the new name though then that's the important thing.

I tried to style it like it was a 8-bit Japanese game, it came out rather well.

In Katakana of course

If I had a Katakana and Hiragana Keyboard, I wouldn't have to rely on a text generator.

Just realised; what does the name actually mean?

Its Japanese for Deluxe Wars, i'm sure it was mentioned in this thread

Unless your asking what Deluxe Wars means, then its suppose to parody over the top Japanese games (If i have recalled that correctly )
