Hmm, I think I saw the actor that played Sargeant Forge (or was it Lawn?) in Stargate Atlantis. As well as the guy that played the US General in Act of War.

Also, wtf? Why all the light blue! I don't trust it. Smells like CABAL...

Cabal is no more, LEGION took his place at the end of Kane's Wrath...

Excuse me?

CABAL was never destroyed for certain dude.... :D

No EA guu ever officially announced him dead. They wrote some shitty thing about a ceremonial blown up bunker...

Well, if GDI blew up the real CABAL bunker, they'd have found a very very very odd Kane in a tube...

KW pretty well confirmed him as dead.

CABAL, the sentient Nod AI that went rogue in the aftermath of the Second Tiberium war, reappears in the game in a new form known as LEGION. Kane plans to use LEGION's unmatched tactical genius and its connection with the Tacitus to achieve his goals. LEGION is controlled by the player in the same way as the GDI/Nod Commander or Scrin Foreman from the original campaign. It shows an innate ability to connect to the Tacitus' signal and interface with the device itself.

So, EA used Kane as a talkshow host. Or well Joe Kucan...

C&C3's story never gave a decent explanation for the FS end FMV, unless you buy the "We're EA, fuck continuity, all hail our retcon overlords" thing. :D

Well, we'll see. I won't call CABAL dead until I've played C&C4.

You're right, although Kane himself declared him dead at the beginning of KW, EA might just as well pull off another stunt and exclaim ''CABAL RETURNS!!11one1!!''.

I understood it as LEGION is based on Cabal (also this gives me question if I played Cabal in KW or "commander" |8 ).

Those P-90 were supposed to be probably something going after P-90 (mp5 is similar A BIT to some German WWII weapons),
they could be used as light weapon (they are light as UZZI or Scorpion, just more penetrable).

Also it seems GDI according to KW never understood Tacitus at all.

I know C&C stories weren't the best, but still some story is better than any (or really terrible one).

I also wonder what EA did with the GDI firestorm ending (The ending in which GDI puzzled the Tacitus together and was able to ''save the world'' consequently). They probably threw it in the trashbin methinks. Also; wasn't the GDI ending like always the one on which the next game was based? (Might be slowpoke, but hey, at least I noticed this change of events)

You get: Kane in the first half as the guest host.

The trailer

The Battlecast 10 (Awesome spam strategies prevail once again)

And... that's about it (The things which actually stayed with me)

Oh, and before I forget, a commercial for the Logitech G9X Laser Mouse!

Edit: Hang on people! We're derailing!

That reveal trailer was interesting but still doesn't say much about the game. I appreciate the extra effort put into the cinematics and the more I think about it, the more I find the idea of a forced GDI/Nod Alliancr intriguing. As for the Hullaballoo about TS's ending, well that wasn't taken into account and we have to deal with what EA has left us with. And I like to think CABAL isn't dead but became LEGION. But then what will happen to LEGION?

Oh yeah, before I forget.

Copied form the C&C 4 Wiki.

Quote

Playable Factions

There will only be two playable factions down from the original three in Tiberium Wars: The Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod, both staples of the Tiberian series. Each faction will be split into three upgradeable classes: offense, defense and support. Each class will have its own specialized focus but will all be as equally competent in battles. The classes would consist of several standard units such as the engineer, but will mostly consist of a unique set of units, structures, powers and upgrades which will form a full faction. Offense Class is focused on tank-based, front-line combat like a classic faction in previous Command & Conquer games. Defense Class is focused on infantry-based combat as well as strong base defenses such as bunkers and turrets. While the Support Class is focused on air-combat and custom vehicles to traverse the environment, Support Class is also equipped with special powers which are used to assist teammates.

Non-Playable Factions

C&C4 will feature two non-playable factions which return from previous games in the Tiberium story arc: The Scrin (C&C3: TW) and the Forgotten (Tiberian Sun). This was confirmed in the August edition of gaming magazine, PC Powerplay, which featured a cover story on C&C4. It was revealed that The Forgotten, who were excluded from Tiberium Wars, would return as a minor part of the story as well as a neutral class on the map whom you can either battle against or ally with like the Mutants in Tiberium Wars. The Scrin will not be playable like in Tiberium Wars, their story will also not be continued from their perspective like in the extra Scrin Campaign in Tiberium Wars.

According to THIS scanned image of PC Powerplay, the C&C Universe will not end here. I wonder if they are talking about the Tiberium C&C Universe or the C&C Universe in the whole. If it's about the Tiberium one, then I'm happy Joe finally decided to move on.

Looks pretty sweet tbh.

Also, in B4 people whine about only getting the Ion Cannon and Obelisk with specific subfactions :P
