Actually I almost agree with killerratte here...seriously, where is the CnC in CnC4?

Alright, for the contest of the name, one of my submissions was "Tiberian Twilight", and well now I'm in the beta programme. Anyone in it too?

Not allowed to say anything about it as of now, not even my opinion, so I guess I won't.

I got that RA3 Premier thing but man I just don't want to get into beta of this game, I think C&C is dead for me after I saw these robot wars -.-

I also submitted Tiberian Twilight, but i'm not in the beta, as far as i know.

Edit- found out how to find out, but i cannot log in, gives me a 'User not valid or not allowed to access the site' when i try to log in on their general forums. (no i've not been banned from them to my knowledge)

I tried out the beta and was thoroughly disappointed. It just misses that ''thing'' which made C&C fun. (Basebuilding as a primary point). Besides, it's probably alot more like a Dawn of War II Multiplayer clone with no resources and a mobile respawn point. The only difference being you only need to gather ''tiberium'' in order to research new tech.

I'd just like to remind all chosen ones of the certain thing they had/have to sign before being handed the sweets. If you didn't read it but just used the regular EULA "read-this-so-many-times-just-shut-up-and-let-me-play" approach, it is highly recommended to rectify this quickly.

From what I observed in the data structures, pretty much the same as C&C3 and RA3. Most likely still uses the RNA.

damn, we can't extract the models from the beta
so, we must use another SDK to mod the real game.

Anyone seen this new cinematic trailer?

Looks good and all, much better than C&C3's. If only they put even a fraction of the money into actually making a good game...

what i don't get is that in an interview, one of the developers makes a big issue of this game being much more serious than previous ones with the story and all. all right, the cinematics do look serious and all but i think i'm not exaggerating when i say the game looks actually more cartoony and campy than RA3...

This I wholly agree 110%. The missiles, how they fly, their trails, how they're fired. The Nod Flame Tank. Infantry...my god. All the units...damn. Their parts shake when they move...argh. The Kodiak was somewhat of a disappointment too =/

I am predicting the campaign will be moderately fun just for the story and cinematics and that apart from that the game will pretty much flop. I all just looks so ridiculous and doesn't feel much like C&C at all, to me at least.

P.S. If they put any armoured bears in there I'm going to commit murders.

Well they already have armored scorpions that shoot lasers, so I wouldn't put it past them to stick the bears in too D:

They replaced armoured bears with mechanical gorillas.

TBH I really like the gameplay. Ofcourse it's not a classic C&C any more but it's still fun to play. The gameplay is very repeating but if they add a few more gamemodes (and the Scrin please :P) ,C&C4 could be a good Multiplayer-RTS game for clans.
Random games are a bit difficult though because good tactics are nearly everything in this game

I hate the music though and the units are a bit too cartoony (especially NOD Engineer and Hijacker)

The best part about this game, is that it comes out 2 weeks before my birthday. I'm trying the beta soon. I'll probably get it no matter what ratings it gets, as I'm a diehard fan to the very end.

I have to say, I enjoyed the beta. I know it doesn't feel like command and conquer, but it is quite enjoyable as it is.
I for one, welcome our new C&C overlords. (and I enjoy the music too. SACRILEGE!!)

Gentlemen, the news's just in. No LAN or dedicated servers. Everything goes through EA's servers, which reminds me of something...

Every other CnC game prior to CnC 4, maybe?

The no LAN is a real shame though :(
