James was an exemplary human being - wise beyond his years; a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. Reading the comments from the others here who did not know James so well makes me feel privileged that he shared some of his short time on this earth to talk to me.

Rest in peace, James.

This is some shocking news. I can't claim to have known JB as well as some of the rest of you here, and that is for me a great shame as I know he was one of the most helpful and dedicated people around here. My deepest condolences to the family, and rest in peace James.

This is...very, very saddening. His walls of text were always a very interesting read, his knowledge on military hardware is vast, he was such a friendly guy, too. Deepest condolences for you and your family, James Brown. Rest in peace, you shall not be forgotten, CommanderJB.

I simply cannot believe he is gone. He was such a good person as his posts always never lacked any detail and all of his opinions and thoughts on military technology and just in general were all laid out, easy to read, and very clear.

Though I never had any personal contact with CommanderJB, I am deeply sorry that he had to go.

Here's to you, buddy. |8

Well this is a shocker.
I only had contact with him through the forums and when we would playtest RotR together, but this has touched a heart string nonetheless.
His supportive and patient attitude would allow him to shine among others, and he has shown loyalty to his fellow member time and time again.
He will be greatly missed.

18 is not an age to die, but as the quote goes, from a novel, and author I'm sure JB was more than familiar with.

Ive never been good in saying these things. I donk knew him personal, but i know he was an intelligent, young guy, at the beginning of his life. He contributet much to the community, and i realised he was more mature in his thoughts and behaviour then others of his age. It makes me sad to know that somebody who had his whole life before him passed out in such a senseless accident. It makes me think about how precious life is, and how important it is to realy live your life.

Whenever a familiy member of mine died in the past i used to say this prayer. I hope you appreciate it James.
I wish you a good journey James Brown.
Farewell

For great men lays greatness behind. James Brown alias CommanderJB was such a person. He never held back in saying his opinion and explained everything very well. His knowledge and kind behaviour will never be forgotten by the community, nor his will to help others as best as he was able to. James 'CommanderJB' Brown, we will certainly miss you. These words come not only from me, but from Ritsuka as well. Farewell, friend.

Even after having known a day, it feels very surreal. I find it incredibly hard to believe that such a bright young man is gone now. I've not had the chance to talk to him very often, but he will be sorely missed.

Rest in Peace, James Robert Brown.

He contributed a lot to the community and was an over achiever. Though he seemed mechanical at times with his abundant military knowledge, he was always a fair, helpful person and was never afraid to be vocal about his opinions.

Rest in Peace JB. Sad news.

Terrible news. May you rest in peace, James Brown. I did not know him personally, but read several of his posts and threads. From those posts and what have read in this thread he seemed like a great man. I would have liked to chat with him sometime.

My condolences go to his family and friends.

Well JB, it was nice knowing you. You will be sorely missed as both a good friend and a fellow comrade. We will forever cherish the memories we have of you; we will celebrate your life and mourn your tragic passing.

May you rest in peace.

To be frank, i loved having discussions with him on occasion. He was a good friend and well ahead of his years in showing maturity. He will be missed.

That's shocking, I know I didn't know the man well enough but from his posts on the forums he did seem to give his best to share his wisdom and his knowledge, It's so sad to see a very kind and helpful man like him die at this age ...

This is a sad day for me. This key member helped me with so many aspects of modding, and instalation of bits and pieces. I cannot think of anyone else who will be missed more in this global communtity. God bless you, CommanderJB, and may he long rest in peace and be remembered.

rest in peace dear friend, sleep well. you will be sorely missed, though i didnt know you that well i appreciated your comments and your kind words greatly. and i feel that your passing has left the world lacking a noble and wonderful soul and i hope where ever you are, you have some small measure of peace. in Buddhism we say that those who die young are masters in disguise, for they teach us about impermanence. life sometimes can be cut short quite suddenly so make the most of every day you have, life is a gift, use it well.
