You were far too young to die, Rest in Peace. I may not have known you as well as some of the others here, but I'm glad I had the occasional chat with you.
Farewell.

I never knew JB personally, but would have loved to. His respectful wit, clever remarks, and all around cheery demeanour allowed us all to love and respect him. As a writer, he always strove to achieve the best and to those that read his short stories (and even his epic posts), he never fell short of that mark.
"You don't know what you've got till it's gone." This phrase might seem a touch cliche, but for all intents and purposes, it's true. CommanderJB was unique and there will never be another like him. Emulated, but never duplicated.
May he rest in peace and my condolences go out to his family.
*Doffs hat and raises glass*
Fare thee well JB, a gent to the end.

Since I'm so new here I never really talked to CommanderJB - all I really knew of him was that he was a respected member of fallout.
Nevertheless, it's really a shame.. He probably had so much ahead of him.
Rest in peace.

Although I didn't really know him that much or even talk to him that much, he was one of the people on this forum I really looked up to, and will miss reading his lengthy posts dearly.

It's such a shame a good young man has got to go. But life is life.
For my homage to James Brown, a Russian tank parade...Do svidanya.

This march of life, so demanding
Times like these, of us so trying.
We live on, ignore the starving, turn on the TV
Let the media block it out, fill a void from compassion
With fear.
But so many of us are left behind
Without reason, without cause.
We march on without them, contented
by a burial and a prayer.
But what god can stand for,
The death of innocence in such,
such blatant form.
What god can watch
While the best and the brightest,
The compassionate and the brave,
Are snuffed out like so many candles-
"Accidents" in the great scheme of life.
We will never forget them,
But these accidents,
Half written, altogether rushed,
Ends for lives not lived
What god can stand by,
While we leave them behind,
To these accidents.
But our remembrance,
Omnipresent,
Is not the same as their march
Beside our own.

A littl bit of off topic, but: Is the year 2009 the beginning of sequences of tragical and deadly events which will leave us with so much sorrow around the world? Because mostly people who are legends and people who touched so many lives in their life die and become a worldly sensation? From The King of Pop, 2 celebrities, a person with so much meaning to world of commercials, the oldest person in the world, the oldest person to give birth, A news legend, other people that I may have not listed and now him.

JB and me had some very nice conversation.
I consider him as a friend.
A man with an attitude that is hard to find in these days.
I will really mis him and his very well written post.
Rest in peace James
You will stay in our minds and hearts alive.

It's startling how things like this can occur out of the blue to anybody. Just so.. unexpected.
For the good times and the bad times.. rest in peace mate.

curious, open mind towards the mysteries of life and the universe, I will now recite a certain quote which seemed to be of great value to you.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader", every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

I never knew JB personally, and I usually don't post that often so I can't really say anything about him.
From what i've read he must have been a nice person. (Not that it matters to me, nobody deserves to die that young)
Rest in Peace James, we will remember you.
