Hi, Sorry for posting on an old topic

In my search for EA Particle Engines I found you. I would like to make my own particles for another EA game BFME2, but the only freeware program I found never renders the same thing I create. Your particle effects look amazing, and I was wondering if you could tell me what software to use to make them?

I'd say wordpad or notepad (and maybe photoshop for new textures)

Notepad/Particle editor for generals - then copying the generals particles into zero hour particlesystem and removing two unused lines.

If you're going to try and motivate people that is possibly the worst sentence I have EVER heard for doing so.

Everyone takes a break from work once in a while, and everyone finds periods of times when they lack motivation - they do pass, and they do make you come back stronger than before. If you want to take a break Failure, nobody here will judge you because of it!

More textures are always handy, so yeah, if you find them feel free to post them! :P

Oh, and those do look very much like something that would come from Dune - the top three are house-colour based for Ordos, Atreides and Harkonnen in that order 8|

Most likely Emperor Battle for Dune, as it's the game that uses the first version of SAGE (before Generals) iirc.

Yeah, probably, the games before that wouldn't have been capable of using those textures I would imagine. This brings back memories... again :P

You might want to try using your brain next time your arse decides to speak.

Do I see you, or anyone else for that matter - creating particle FX? No I don't, which gives you no right to make such a stupid comment. As far as i'm aware for quite a while Failure has been the only one making public FX, you should appreciate that he spends his time making them for ungrateful sods like you. If he doesn't want to make anymore, well theres nothing you can do about it. However it just sounds like Failure has been busy with other stuff and lacked motivation or ideas, which happens to all modders eventually.

The first game to use SAGE still was Renegade :P

What? No not at all , i was saying that he isn't the best but that doesn't automaticly assume he absolutely sucks ass as particle coding im saying that there are a few people better then him , but with time and patience you can do better then those people.

he's trying to say that Failure is a hard worker, what's wrong with that?

(Person) may not be very good at X, but at least they're trying - This basically implies they suck.

Those are very nice textures though Nova, thankyou for creating them.
