Its bloody convenient for sorting things out, hell I've got a wedding to go to at the end of this year and the trip to Barbados was all sorted on FB.

It's a great way to stay in contact with people you don't get to see that often (such as people back home when you're away at uni). As Dauth said, it's also great for sorting things out. Of course, it's possible to turn it into a terrible waste of time with things like Farmville, but just because some people do doesn't mean everyone has to.

Your turn, what's wrong with facebook?

I admit, I have facebook. Can't say I use it much, but leaving snarky remarks on people's updates so they can delete them a few minutes later doesn't get old. facebook can definitely be convenient occasionally.. it's easier to contact friends with facebook than with email, since it's easier to find people you know on Facebook and add them and all..
except I have one problem with it
I HATE PEOPLE
After halloween there is a 70% chance I'll deactivate my facebook account. I'm having a halloween party so I needed it for that, but beyond that I hardly remain in contact with the outside world.. so yeah.

I don't use facebook too much, but it's nice to see what old buddies are up to.

There is nothing secret about it. I joined FB some considerable time ago as it 'was' a way to get in touch with mates that I did actually want to see.

Nothing as I see it. It has gone from being a more adaptable 'Friends Reunited' to being the interwebz Capital City of Attention-Whore County. I really couldn't careless if someone who I went to school with 20 years ago is annoyed that their little boy has just written on the wall in crayon, or that someone else has a hang over. If you know me then it is most likely you'll be someone with a hangover.

I lost contact with these people for a reason, now the internet has found a way for these retards to track me down. I'd delete the account if I thought I wouldn't get 500 emails/texts from people asking wtf is wrong.

Then, I must ask, why add them in the first place? Facebook is alright if you only add people you really know.

I doubt I am the first person to add people just because it is the thing to do  and that was done way before FB became annoying.

Ha, Sick Joke wiki.

I don't use Facebook seriously. Firstly, I go under a fake name (though most of the people I've added actually know who I am), and most of my posts and comments are the same kind of things I'd post in the LPTPW.

Hah, that's exactly what I thought when I learned about facebook, but I must admit that it made me able to find my primary school mates, so I can't say that I hate it.

The thing to do ? I have less than 100 friends on FB, and all of them are really my friends, I don't get why people are always trying to get the bigger number by adding random people on their lists, FB is not a game after all 8|

Thats right. I walk around there for some months and stop and say myself : '' wtf I am doing here ?! '' and run the hell out of this place, never turned back since then and man, I am happy |8

I seem to have added so many of the hundreds of acquaintances over the years on Facebook |8 Though I must admit, it is more useful than MSN sometimes IMO. The only time killer I use is those quizzes as some are funny and occasionally Texas Hold'em. CBA to get into Farmville...

This habit existed WAY before Twitter's popularity exploded. Twitter enhanced this by letting people use SMS to "tweet".
