MW2: Impressions *Spoilers*

There are a few things I've come to hate it though. Most people in MW2 are using varied weapons - which I enjoy seeing, as it promotes balance (though I've got serious doubts about this game having balance) but a lot of players are also using some weapons which seem to 1-shot kill (FAL *cough*), though this is likely with stopping power.
I'm also finding the match-making system to be somewhat lacking, as I often find myself with a team of lower levelled people against level 50+ players, which just screams lack of perfection. This may be console I'm talking about, but the first MW's MM system was also pathetic. I was expecting a goddamned improvement.
To be fair, hardcore modes are inherently more imbalanced than the standard modes, since balance wasn't made from that perspective.

I've seen that before, think I linked Chyros to it a week or so ago. Horrid quality btw :loel:

That map is campers paradise. I racked up a 15 killstreak on it yesterday in a CtF match in about 3 minutes |8 . Although in fairness I never achieved anything quite as awesome as that knife throw.

I got linked to a bouncing knife kill by Admiral, I hadn't seen this one before though xD . Quite epic indeed...

Is this on console or PC?

Hey Wiz, I don't know to be honest. I'm just not smart enough to see it, could you tell me?

Edit I ony just considered the possibility that you were talking about the topic.
I suppose its for both

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Also, you referenced the console for the first MW, not specifically the second. :loel:

But don't worry, I can do better |8

And I implied it.

Personally I think that MW2 was kindof 30 vs. 3 in SP, remember the burgertown mission? I got a 15 kill string with the predator missile, why were there 15 guys in one building anyway? If you didn't have the missile launcher you're almost inevitably going to be overrun.

I don't need missile launchers to kill a heli ^^
Intervention all the way.

So overall I loved the game and preordering it was a good idea, but Spec Ops was kindof a disappointment because I was expecting a 2 player campaign with a story. Oh well I can't win them all.
10/10.

So can someone explain to me what these loose ends were and what that DSM thingo was supposed to do?
Quote

amazin's Photo amazin 25 Nov 2009

the DSM had makarov's info and contacts and such, as well as some incriminating info on shepherd.

Reviews and imagination, Yay. If you are done crapping on a game you have never played I would like to get back on topic. Modern Warfare 2 impressions.

He really does have a point about the Dedis.

I can't say my experience with this whole "MATCH MAKING" has been cool. It works for XBOX360 not PC. the Voice Quality is absolutely disgusting..Just wow.
Gameplay? I love it, At the same time I wish the maps were a tad bigger but I really enjoy the Ground War gametype when it's on Capture or whatever.

There's a SHIT ton of customization. This game does not lack that at all, if you like being a sneaky faggot with a Knife you can very well have a Pistol and a Knife out at the same time, a throwing knife. increased melee distance. ETC. If you're some guy who loves the Gunner from TF2 you'll have a spot. Able to get a BADASS LMG with an M-79 Grenade launcher, Or an LAT Rocket Launcher.

There's alot of cool killstreak stuff, Carepackage was a cool one being able to drop ammo/helicopter call ins. ETC but it's indiscriminate. I really like the other care package stuff, if you don't like Harriers you can use the Predator missile which is hilarious when you find some "1337 sniper" and completely destroy him and his hopes and dreams. However from this comes the TACTICAL NUKE which I never heard of. If you get a 25 kill streak you end up getting a nuke, which instantaniously ends the round in about 5 seconds. Pretty god damn gay...

There's also a lack of my favorite Bolt Action rifles..but whatever.

I really loved the Campaign, alot more "Into it" then the MW1 was. gunna have to Co-op it up with some friends later.

It's never happened before to me. A killstreak of 25 is pretty rare. In fact, just getting nuked is already a challenge.

I've seen 2 nukes so far (both from my team thankfully).
They are all right depending on who get's it. The first match I got nuked in it was two teammates having a little competition on who got it first. 8| It was a sabotage game and we were stomping the other team pretty hard, so we decided to just hold onto the bomb and go for kills till the end of the match when he used it.
The second time was on a capture the flag (IIRC) match; some idiot got his streak up just before halftime, and then used it IMMEDIATELY after the game started up again. I wasn't impressed. |8

TLDR; if you get a tac nuke, please wait till the end of the match to use it, m'kay?

I like it, but I suck at it, so I'm going to stick with Halo 3 for now, it seems like now it's the only game I'm good at.

BTW I hadn't played the campaign yet, but is it worth it? A lot of my friends say it's easier than MW1 but I advice on wheter should try it or not.

deltaepsilon's Photo deltaepsilon 29 Nov 2009

Isn't tactical nuke an incredibly lame idea, just ending the match there and then? The outcome of a match being decided by someone who can rack up a 25 kill streak?

The multiplayer is easier, yes.

For you it probably is, I suck at CoD, I was wondering if the campaign is easier.

Campaign isn't too tough. Hardened kept kicking my ass for some reason though especially towards the end. Oh and the thermal sights are the single best addition to this game's weapons.

On easy it's easy, on hard it's hard. That's about it :P .

Thermal Scope+ Heart Beat sensor in MP. Now that is a combo that rapes.
