All the Civ games are on sale on steam as well. Civ IV complete is $10, and Civ III complete is just $1.25.

A bit sad how on the video they had a ''current average of $0.12 out there. Thats a weird depiction since other news states they did get a success and an average of about 10 bucks per contributor, but it does give a bad image of PC gamers at the same time. Perhaps the first people who found it were really greedy?

I'm pretty sure the video was done when it was still in demonstration. The 'real' average is far higher, as you know.

SEGA cheapo week it seems folks: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4349

Today it's 50% off AvP (eurgh) and they'll be changing the game the discount applies to each day. However, the main thing is to look at the cost of the entire pack. There's a saving of roughly £230 to be had there. I am also hoping they do uber savings on Empire: Total War.
For there can be no death without life.

Big fat lol at the Sega Sci Fi pack today. Individual price of units is € 10, while the package costs € 12,50, yet it is on the front page. I think the eternal super discount on Universe at War wasn't taken into account or something like that.

I wonder why they offer a huge discount on a game as epic as EaW... :P

TF2 is now 50% off. This due to it's release on the Mac. Did I mention there's also another TF2 free weekend?

both Fallout 3: GotY edition and Metro 2033 are both only 50% off for $25 on Steam.

If you don't own either games, you must at the very least buy one (prolly Fallout 3, since that game can last 10~20 times longer than Metro). If you already have Fallout 3, I wholeheartedly recommend Metro, it's pretty short at only 10 hours, but it's the most atmospheric 10 hours you've ever experienced.

Indeed, which is why I just bought it, even though I already own Fallout 3 (the super awesome lunchbox collector's edition)

Just finished DL-ing it too. Just in time too, 'cause I just got done Mass Effect 2. :read:

Huuuuge steam sale, looks like pretty much every single publisher has games at 33/50/75% off, except... well who else - Activision.

There's a whole bunch of fun things on sale here. Some good picks are Killing Floor for 4,50, all Call of Duties up to and including WaW for 28, Sniper Elite for only 3,50 and even all three Earthworm Jim games for 10 :P .

Took a look at the sale, gasped at the savings (usually all in three digits), took a step back and realized they were gigantic packs of games that I would likely never play, or already own. Went 'meh'.

Steam makes me own too many games I never played too D: Still haven't touched Medieval 2: Total War and Dead Space D:

The only game I really want at the moment is Assassins Creed 2, but 26 euros is still not worth the DRM hassle, not to mention I won't be able to play for like the entire holidays so I better not. If it was less than 20 I would consider it..

I really do recommend Killing Floor. I went on a free weekend of it with some guys here and it was really fun. I didn't buy it then because it doesn't have a particularly high replayability but for less than five euros I'll probably get it, it's a real bargain.
