The river-shot looks...off for some reason...how do I describe it...but I like that valley shot.

It's a lake, the sun was shining directly on it though so I reduced the exposure to capture the wind ripples. The perspective will also seem a bit odd, It's not really clear just how far I am away from the lake, though the road should give you some idea.

Nice shots Ansel Adams. :/

But really, that place looks surreal, really cool pictures.

Some shots from Spain, sadly most of the better looking scenery I couldn't get a proper picture of, as it was usually while travelling between locations, most of the field locations weren't anything special.

I do have more photos to upload, but as nobody's commented on these, I don't think I can be bothered.

Massive amount of new photos - Location is the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland. As you can see the weather was superb.

Usually I just upload a select few, but this time I've gone the whole hog and uploaded every single one. Nothing to bad apart from some are overexposed in places, but that was almost unavoidable at times due to the brightness of the sun. This may take a while to load.

A nice selection of really interesting terrain. Looks like a place I'd like to visit, although I guess it would be quite cold.

Photography wise, my favorite photo is this one. Because it's quite cloudy most of the shots are a bit dull, however because of that, it makes this shot stand out ever more. It has lots of levels of perspective and some really nice colours, your eyes follow the river up and you start to imagine whats behind those bushes.

Your going to have to go somewhere else now, getting tired of seeing mountains :xD: (and to be honest, you are going to have to try really hard to top the mountain shots with the clouds on the last page, they were excellent).

I keep meaning to get into campus and take some snaps of various things. I sometimes notice things that would make a great shot while I'm in there, then I come back here and forget it :xD: I would also like to do some cityscapes, but while my friends go off to London for a few days post exams I'm starting my disseration, in of all places, Scotland :xD:

Would be interesting to see some urban photography, you can get some really interesting stuff. I know what you mean about forgetting to take pictures, taking photos can sometimes be a spur of the moment thing.

To save your bandwidth I won't post these here directly, instead follow this link. These are the best shots generally from my 6 week Skye trip, though I also have the entire 200+ photo album floating about, alot of those are geology based photos though.

And I'll just post this dramatic one here, because I like it that much :P I like how the clouds are almost reaching out to grab the island below.

Reminds me quite strongly of that first Lord of the Rings movie, with the mountain passes and all. It looks absolutely beautiful I must say. I'm surprised at how rough the terrain is, too.

Lovely photos, Ion - you really are getting a great photographic eye. As I've said before, and I'll say again - you'll definitely love New Zealand if you ever end up going. It's exactly like that, except you have 3000 metre high mountains rising up from lakes - it is really surreal. New Zealand is the only place I've ever seen real snow.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll be heading out again this weekend but I doubt I'll get any great pics, the peak district despite its name is quite flat.

Hmm, seems I never showed you guys the Skye pictures, well this should correct that!

Chyros, if you thought Snowdonia was rugged, Skye is in another league.

Damn, when I was in Scotland we originally planned to visit Skye, but the weather was so awful that day that we had to abandon the plan. Now I can see what we missed =o .

If only your Lumix could hold a CPL filter over the lens (or you had opened the window). You wouldn't have had the reflection then. Still, it should be noted that the sky is quite fetching. Glorious even.

I see your camera loves high shutter speeds, as evidence of the water droplets from the mini waterfall. I know you're just using a "point-and-shoot", but sometimes they have manual settings you can play with. Any way to see what it's set at?

I'm about three pages late when I mention this, but it isn't a small wonder that your Lumix takes decent photos (I know it's all in the photographer for the vision to see a potential photograph, but the camera is the one that physically turns it into digital information), as Panasonic has essentially become Leica's cheaper arm. Curious about Leica? Ever heard of Leica? I can't imagine you not to be honest as they're a German company and widely held in high esteem. Their lenses and cameras (M3 and M7 to name a few) are pretty well legendary.

It's like you're on a helicopter :P

It's a pretty view, but kinda ruined by all the cars on the side. Vast, endless green rolling hills.
