I'm looking forward to this, but i wish that Valve had more of a surprise D:

I seriously need the new HL game, its been far too long for just a new episode. It will be interesting to see where the story of HL and Portal meets.

Wait, for serious? That was the surprise? Pffft, Portal 2 announcement was well within the realm of expectations.

Indeed, it will be intriguing when Portal and HL2 converge. However, what I really want to see, is some Gman.

No, Portal 2 on the PS3 was the surprise. This is because Gabe has always said he didn't like the PS3.

What, nobody mentioned that the cake is a lie?

Erik Wolpaw, scenarist of Portal 2, has declared that there will be no cake in Portal 2. Erik is in fact bored of seeing the same silly joke about the cake being a lie everytime someone's talking about the game. He'd better revive the Companion Cube then at least |8

Meh, rather cartoony IMO. Not the direction I'd want it to be taken in, myself.

Seriously what is with some people bitching about trailers? The batch released today hasn't even contained any gameplay footage and people are already complaining. It isn't just here either, loads of people were complaining about the most ridiculous things in the ME trailer, like the voice acting, or the fact only 9 million are dead.

What they're showing is just a trailer, the game isn't going to be cartoony, the game will be like the game footage they showed. The two robot companions are just for co-op mode which looks great. All that teaser is showing is how the robots are built. I suppose its to give them some character, though I think valve already did a good job with that based on the previous footage.
