I have quite a few of the games from the potato sack, I noticed them updating last night but thought nothing of it, I'll definately be checking these later.

The numbers have been deliberately added, they're fibonacci numbers and when substituted with letters form sheisaftermeiaminanepisode.
So maybe it's EP3?

It's simply fascinating, I can't stop checking. I don't really understand the puzzles though - never really was one for cyphers and such.

The point is, if it's true basically Portal 2 unlocks when X number of potatoes have been unlocked, for those unfamiliar the potatoes are unlocked in all the games in the potato sack pack on steam. If you have any of those games go and gather potatoes!
EDIT : Join NELIPOT - (steam group) - Grants a free potato.

Borealis! Borealis! Borealis! BOREALIS!
I can't wait for the eventual merger between The Portal series and Half-Life.

NELIPOT was spelled out by relating a series of encoded stuff to real locations in seattle

Discovering that also led to finding this http://www.apertures...c/d/g/h/abcdgh/ - which is registered as a valve domain.
*Even if this ARG turns out to not lead to anything, Valve sure know how to market a game, It's also been good for the indie devs whose games where included in the Potato Sack promo.

How so?
Valve set this entire ARG up to:
1) Market Portal 2 - which seems to have worked fantastically
2) Hype players up for the game(s) - Once again, it worked.
3) Market Indie games to steam users - Well, a lot of people now know about the games
4) Market Steam - I'd bet you'd think this was a downside

That, and seeing how complex the ARG has turned out to be, all over potatoes, just makes me wonder how long Valve planned this.
I think it's a great way to advertise a game to players - make them play a game.

Me ^ though the text was only added later, methinks the final test could well be portal 2? 30mins!

Indeed, I'm thinking that may be her final test. Note, that also implies there will be no Portal 3. Atm I don't care though. 23mins to go!
