"Penetrate the Penthouse"

*giggle*

Anyway, when I saw the ability/inventory screen I nerdgasmed! scratch that, EVERYTHING made me nerdgasm, from graphics to explosive pistol rounds.

The Revolvers in Fallout 3 sucked balls. :P

The New Vegas ones make up for it though.

They also sucked balls in Singularity.

Smartass bastard...

But yeah, you're right. Back on topic.

I've never played Deus Ex, is it still worth a play? Or is it outdated?

From Wikipedia:

Quote

In a controversial departure from previous titles in the series, Human Revolution will use a regenerating health model. This change was made because the developers didn't want players to get into a situation where they were unable to progress due to low health, and would be forced to "scrounge for med packs.
They see this scrounging behavior as breaking the flow of the game when one retreats to search the entire level for medical supplies. They believe their regenerating health model will still encourage tactical and strategy forming retreats, but not to the extent where the tension and flow of the game is disrupted.

Was mad at first over "Regenerating health" seeing as it is a bad gimic that every fps has to use nowadays, but now I see what they mean.

Human Revolution is primarily a first person game, but will feature a contextual third person viewpoint when using the cover system, certain augmentations, or closeup instant-kill moves.

Sorry TheDR, no perma-first person for you :(

So tell me, the game is supposed to be able to Pacifist Run (having to only kill bosses), are you gonna be all talky-sneaky or stab-stab-stabbity-dakkadakka?

I have already read the Wiki page, but i don't trust it. Also it's very vague and doesn't rule out the option of a 1st person only mode.

I'm not particularly hopeful that it will include a 1st person only mode, but that wiki entry definitely doesn't rule it out.

Personally I think the health regen system is one of the things that sets modern FPS games apart from old and outdated FPS games. Health pack systems sucked IMO, and interfered with game fluidity. I'm glad they put a regen system into this game.

Health regen sucks because it ruins the fluidity of the game by making it too easy. I'll go as far as saying that even Halo's retarded health system is better than regenerating health

Personally, I like Halo Reach's combination of health packs and a regenerative shield. Also I hope the game can choose third person view at the right moments. Cover and the instant-kill moves shouldn't be disruptive, but I wonder what they mean by the augmentations.

The health regeneration aug (seriously, who took the other one?) was what made DX1 so much fun so I don't see much of a problem with it being an out-of-the-box feature for the PC.

If it's as much as a time vampire (And a fun one at that) as the second and first ones were, I think I can get past the removal of health packs.

It makes me want the game even more (well, i guess thats good advertising for you).
I think i will just have to get over the third person bits, I'm sure it won't be too bad and maybe someone will be able to mod it

Health packs i don't care about. I don't mind both systems and like Golan said, everyone picked the health regeneration augmentation in DX1.
