MGS Rising looks very cutty so far.

Is that a good thing? :read:

Gears of War 3 looks like Gears of War always did. Action packed manliness.

MGS looks pretty slick. I wonder how the hell they managed to pull it off so that you can cut literally anywhere.

They did NOT just use justin beiber in their kinect showcase.

At least they seem to have more of a direction with kinect (cant get past that annoying spelling yet)

Indeed, that was stupid :read:
The sports dudes were also awful, they talked to each other for ages for no reason and they just weren't funny 8|

Wow, that Kinect has some really good detection. That dance game was impressive.

Edit: Also, there are golden donuts in the background under the screen :whaa:

"Absolutely retarded" Sums up the entire Kinect showcase. Star Wars Kinect was a good way to end that 15 minutes of fail.

It was much better than Natal showcase last year...

The new 360 looked good and for the same price, it seems like a bargain.

The new 360 looks pretty sweet (maybe apart from that it looks like its been crushed in the middle). Amazing they managed to keep it completely under the radar :read:

I really want that new xbox. I'm hoping i can trade in my current broken old one and get a new one from them.
Gears of War and Reach looked as good as i hoped.
Kinect on the other hand is an utterly shameless Wii rip off. Every single game i saw there had a Wii equivalent. I had previously hoped they would use the technology for some hardcore games like GoW which was rumoured to be using motion controls at one point.

GT will be back soon, its just been swamped by people.

I don't think Kinect is as much of a Wii rip off as it first appears. That fitness game (even though i won't ever play it :read:) looked very precise and i could see it having a lot more feedback compared to the Wii.
Well we will have to wait and see, yeah Microsoft is going after the tasty casual pie, but i don't think thats a bad thing. Gaming is becoming a legitimate form of entertainment, stealing audience from films and TV for there TV space.

They have a sports game, a fitness game, a dance game? Looks a lot like Wii fit, Wii play etc.
I'm just disappointed they haven't got a few more hardcore titles for the launch.

I didn't say the games weren't inspired/rip offs by the Wii games, its the system I'm interested in. I find it much more impressive than the Wii, It makes the Wii tech look ancient by comparison. I never expected any big hardcore launch titles as the system just isn't tested enough to make big devs jump in on the bandwagon. I totally agree that it isn't helpful to us Hardcore lot, but tbh, Kinect isn't aimed at us at all. We bring in such a little revenue compared to the casual audience (a good example is the success of the Wii), I'm not surprised that E3 isn't mainly about Hardcore gamers anymore and more about attracting in more families and new gamers.

I think people should consider Kinect (and in some respect, Playstation Move) to be the unofficial sequels to the Wii. Unless Nintendo bring out some sort of HD Wii, i can see a lot of the casual gaming audience moving to the 360 and PS3.

Thats a good point. I guess the tech is too new in development for anything big. I guess it was some what naive to believe some of the big rumours about big titles being put onto a newly developed "platform".
The technology does look pretty impressive i must admit. I might consider it depending on its prices. I've heard £150 for the motion system which seems a little steep for me at the moment.
