Edit: PzkpfW V-IV is actually quite the beast. It actually accelerates really well and its top speed is the best of any premium tank thus far. The cannon is slightly better than the M4A2E4's, with a little higher damage, but the RoF seems a bit off pace. At any rate, the Panther hull is what makes the tank. Traverse rate could be a bit better, but then again, my crew is fairly green. Did have a good victory in it where my crew jumped from 50% to 55%, but that's my highest moment so far. Already up to the T2 for the US and I'm about to unlock the Panzerjager for the Germans. I'm all excited about this game all over again. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

A-32 is OK, acceleration is just not that good, and the 2E4 is decent, but once once of the big Heavies comes in, it's all over.

Well, I got BT-2, T-26, and my T-46 along with my two free preimium tanks, the A-32 and the Easy 4. Spent a little less than $1 on xp=>gold and it didn't feel like it was a life-ruining event. (Bleh, by the end of the year I will've probably spend a hundred bucks or more ).

Stopping for the day. 40k cash away from the Wespe; one of my fav early arty, and I'm going to skip the BT-7 with exp and go directly to the A-20. Probably going to be a while before I reach tier 4 though, since I seem unwilling to convert gold to credits. (Still, my Easy 4 and A-32 seem to be making loads of cash for the the lowe tiers).

Anyway, about the 547 battles I got, yeah I was saying it's not bad as well but not enough for the M4A2E4 :'(

Free version is exactly the same so far. No real new tanks besides the 3 pre-order tanks and the 1000 battle Closed Beta Sherman tank (the four types of tanks are EVERYWHERE). However, no aquirable new tanks are out yet. No new american TDs, no new intermidiate tanks, no new premium tanks (no KV-5 and no Lowe yet... :( )

I was kind of upset the Lowe didn't come with the release. It's better than the M6A2E1 in a lot of ways and in the same tier. Speaking of which, there are some weak spots on the front of the M6A2E1. Apparently the mantle, gun, and driver's view port is a soft spot that can be penetrated "65% of the time" according to some members of the WoT forum. This of course goes with the incredibly frail side and rear armour.

Anyone notice the all premium battles that have been happening? My first battle after release was in the M4A2E4 and the only other tanks were the PzkpfW V-IV and the M6A2E1. For about an hour, there battles of nothing but those tanks. Towards the end of the night I saw some PzkpfW V-IV's as top tank. It seems some people are flying through the first 3 tiers and as I'm typing this, I'd imagine there are already tier 5 battles going on.

I'm still on Tier 1, I'm choosing to elite my 3 start tanks and then try to decide which tree's and which tanks I'll go for.

That is a collossal waste of time. You need to go through those tiers quickly. Eliting a tank no longer carries any meaning unless you are spending money to transfer xp off of them, plus not that many upgrades actually carry over to the higher tiers. The less time you stay in the lower tiers, the more money and xp you'll earn.

If you manage to get the Lee at any early enough stage, it doesn't suck quite as much. Still though, 13k exp for the Sherman and the T1, and (IIRC) 30k experience for the M7 Priest, the Lee is the first daunting task in the American lineup. Hopefully I'll be able to hop through a few tiers once I get home from work. I'm well on my way to getting a Marder II, and I picked up the M2 medium tank last night. I do have the PzkpfW II unlocked, but i didnt leave enough funds in the bank to purchase one. Haven't touched the Russian tree quite yet, but perhaps this time I'll have a go at the mediums again and then take a (painful) jaunt through the Russian heavies (at least until I get the IS-2 and IS-3).

this morning there were T20s and more than 1 IS about. Now today i've not gotten past the SU-85b or my M2 Med that i started with this morning.
Clanmates were rocking the lee to ownage over TS. (one even got steel wall)

Apparently there are basement cases that haven't stopped playing the game since release. That would explain the tier 6 and 7 tanks rolling about. The game was fun day one. Now on days two and three, because I have the unfortunate luck of being stuck at tier 2 and 3, the game has lost its luster for me again.

I don't plan on playing till my tests are done, so that means a whole week of not playing for me.

On the plus side I am willing to spend money, and with my rates, it currently costs me 1$ to convert 7102 xp, so for me, in order to ease the pain, I am willing to spend at most a dollar per every day that I play. Since I don't play daily, that probably won't add up to much over the year.

Still, when the KV-5 and Lowe rolls out, I need to get one, and that's probably gonna cost 7-8 bucks. :(

I was on a roll with my BT-2 on the map that always turns into a stalemate, can't remember the name. Anywho, after some coordination with some other BT-2s we snuck around on the right and pretty much killed anything in our path. It was great
