Still, when the KV-5 and Lowe rolls out, I need to get one, and that's probably gonna cost 7-8 bucks. :(

I don't think that's bad, honestly. If you really want that tank, that's actually kind of cheap. Personally it won't be an issue for me since I have over 40k gold, so I am really looking forward to the Lowe.

Man, playing through WoT sure sucks right now, no new content and currently regretting not getting the big pre-order gold pack. Currently at A-20, T-28, and Grille, tech-tree-wise. Grinding sucks, even more so when premium doesn't benefit me because I don't play often enough and I'm too cheap to spend that much on it.... :(

The unfortunate thing is that I haven't even touched WoT since I've been playing Borderlands.

But yeah teching does suck because there are those who took it upon themselves to have no life as they shot through the tech tree to get IS-7's, T-54's, and the like. 2 days after release people had IS tanks.......

How the hell did they manage that? I'm guessing they had premium and just farmed XP from a low tier tank or something?

actually nuker, you're not far off. the first few days most of those heavy preorder tanks didn't fight anything but each other. they just had those fights and converted them to xp (with prem on), and just did that to get their ISs, T20s, or whatever they wanted to go for.

edit - remembered heavy tank name: M6A2E1

Edit2 - For those wishing to join the clan, go to the world of tanks main site, log in with your account, there should be a tab to the left (near the forums) called clans. Search for 'triple' and apply the 'triple entente' clan with the leader of scorch_ (should be the only one, but i'm covering all the bases here).

if you have applied, send me a PM or email here, and i'll pass-on the invite notifications to scorch so he'll accept them.

Sweet, I think Nuker will apply soon as well since he already asked the same question I asked on the WoT forum. (which was also helpfully answered by a clan member).

In something that is tangentially related. Does anyone else here have a slightly negative reation to the word 'clan'? Every time I use the word, I feel like I'm using the word 'klan' aka from the KKK. I dunno why, possibly due to the fact that the word 'clan' has fallen out of every day use (at least for me) and the only place where it's encountered phonetically is to descride the KKK.

I dunno, perhaps it's just an odd reaction on my part. |8

I've never thought of it that way, but i generally refer to them as corps, because i'm used to eve's name for clans being corporations (corps for short). WoW uses guilds instead of clans, so it is falling out of meaning.

Well, I'm more familiar with the term guild, though I do like the word 'corps' much better. Also the thought of a corporation who's sole purposes is to take over Europe with only tanks just seems lulzy. |8

NergiZed, this concerns you more than just the general viewing public since you were the one that posed this question in the Triple Entente's recruitment thread, but according to LoneGhostOne, in order to add the clan's tag to the end of your name, you must log in to WoT's home page, search the clans' tab for Triple Entente (3E), and then click "join". I'll be doing that once I start gaming in WoT again, which might be a while because of my current Borderlands addiction. |8

Well, I am on a tier 6 German TD currently. If there is a clan war, it won't be much use as it is not a Soviet tank.

The Jadgpanzer IV isn't bad, but it doesn't have the gun selection or the speed that the SU-100 has. Not to mention the fact that Soviet TD's benefit more from the camo net and have a higher camo bonus to start with. The best a Jadgpanzer IV can hope to penetrate is 138mm with the PaK 40 L/70 75mm. The drawback is that it only does 135 damage per shell. Rate of fire is spectacular at 17.54 shells a minute, but the damage and penetration values pale in comparison to the SU-100's D-10T 100mm, which will penetrate 175mm of armor and do 240 damage. If I remember right, that gun also has a rate of fire of close to 9 rounds a minute, and shell cost is on par with the German 88's (L/56 and L/71), and the American M3 90mm. So, for tier 6, the Russians do hold a sizable advantage over the Germans, but don't write the Jadgpanzer off completely. With the 10,5cm, the Jadgpanzer can be quite nasty. It's agility and low profile allow it to be one of the more sneaky TD's, and with that in mind, a Jadgpanzer IV can be very deadly.

I average around 4-5 tank kills on my Jadgpanzer 4, but had to avoid engaging pretty all tanks on the same tier or higher. Picking off weaken tanks and normally not exactly as powerful as the SU-100 or even SU-85. If it is spotted and fire upon, its a goner, it takes two hits from a same tier medium tank to kill it. While with the 88, I need like 4 to kill the medium, if it penetrate that is.

Back in the Beta, I made the jump to Soviet TDs through the T-34, and I remember the Su-85 and Su-100 being stellar. They were both stealthy, accurate, flimsy damage-dealing nightmares. I remember once where I just sat in the middle of a field and sniped away at the enemy forces and none of them could see me. (I had 100% crew and camo at the time). Invisa-TDs FTW.

My SU-100's stock 85mm can't even penetrate itself from the front, let alone anything else. It is stealthy as hell, but i can't use AP on it for shit, unless i get top tier in a battle with very few heavies. I imagine that will change when i get the 100mm.

I have the su-85 elited, and the 107 is completely badass on it. i'm about 6k xp from the 100mm on the su-100 though.

I played a bit and finally got the credits for an AT-1.

Thinking of going down the German tree and either going for the heavies or the meds, not sure yet.

The French look like they have a lot of promise in their tech tree. The artillery pieces look good, I just hope they perform as they look. The Char B1 might just be a hellion for its tier because of the armament it carries, and also its armor.

Definietly going down the French tree when the opportunity presents itself.

The hilariously bulky looking Heavy tanks appeals to me greatly, in the same way that the KV and KV-5 does.

First look at French Arty and TDs are also quite interesting.

Also, apparently the FCM F1 is gonna be the premium tank available upon launch of the French tree.
